So the grumpy 97 year old man across the road was told that he is now too old to live alone and look after himself.
Time to move into a nursing home.
He has lived in this house since he was 16.
Yesterday at high tide he sat in his chair looking out at the water and ended his life.
He certainly had the last laugh on the people who said he couldn't look after himself.
97 and going out happy and on your own terms certainly should make us all chuckle

I guess the for sale signs will go up tomorrow.

Good on him - better to go out happy than to fester away in a miserable environment!

My Gran is 104 and lives on own, helper coming in 5 days and a cleaner. Sounds like he just needed extra help. Don't blame him for choosing the way to stick 2 fingers up at them.

What would you say if you could?

Dear Sir Jim's PA,
The gang here at the forum has wacked a few questions together for old mate to go through and if he can get back to us asap that'll be great.

Cheers,

Yep, the likelihood that it will get anywhere near where it’s supposed to land is probably a joke. 😉

But I suppose if someone wants to give it a try, why not, it’ll kill a few hours.

It will end up where it is supposed to be directed to foreshore, it will not be dead in the water.
The PA would have a firewall team that probably sees things before he or she does and redirects them to the person responsible for that type of inquiry...the Ineos operation would have to be on a grand scale...I will be interested to see the response...hopefully not from AI.🤖

...but back to Jim, old mate now in the motoring world...I wonder if anybody in his inner circle has called him Sir Jimny...he would have to have a grin on the dial at least.:)
