Checker Plate Install Help

View attachment IMG_5422.jpegThere is supposed to be double sided tape on the back for install however it just looks like black foam tape fitted, is this in replacement of double sided tape or am I missing something here? Any help appreciated!

Thanks @Tenac I installed but didn’t add extra tape, what you’ve don’t looks like a good option. I bought some black rivets however slightly too long so ended up using the factory silver ones.

If you are using all the rivet holes, then you really don't need two sided tape. The thin gray foam strips prevent 'some' crap from getting underneath, and protect the paint and reduce vibration and possible noise.
