How do you ensure these are perfectly aligned during the install?

We measured and aligned one side and then matches the other side to the first side

Ineos told me back in 2022 that they first tried the fender plates without being riveted on.
During crash testing the fender bent and the plates came off and went straight through the windscreen.
The only way they could get them approved was riveted as well as double sided tape.
During an accident they have to remain firmly fixed to the vehicle.

YOu can easily drill holes and rivet them as well as use the VHB we provide. Up to you as a customer. The factory ones do not come with VHB. We bought a factory set before we did these. just a thin strip of foam on the bottom

Hello AJ, I have a question, assuming I put the plates and the ITV made me remove them, do you have experience of what the area would look like when removing the 3M VHB 5952 strips, would it be easy to remove? Would there be marks left on the paint? I wait your answer thank you

There is a process, tools, and solutions that 3M recommends for proper removal. We intend to remove the prototype ones that are installed on our Grenadier to install a production set. There are also a lot of recommendations for solutions that can be used that wont harm the mounting surface. I will be trying the all natural liquids first
