I purchased it during boxing day sale. That probably explains the delta.

It had been listed at $2995 CAD - about $2,200 USD - until a couple of days ago when the price went up to $3500 CAD.

I messaged Capit and they claim the original price was a "pricing error" and won't go back down. I'm guessing the sale took another 10% off the original price which is why you got it for $2k USD shipped. Lucky you!

Still cheaper than GP Factor, but I'm not in a hurry to buy so I'll wait for further reviews and see if it goes on sale in the future.

Here she is installed. A few little installation issues regarding some missing fasteners and poor directions but we've provided feedback to Cap-It and they've resolved those, so others shouldn't see them. All is well that ends well! :)

Does anyone have images of the uninstalled winch plate that they can post plus any additional parts that are supplied by Capit. All that is shown on the Capit website is the fully installed product. It would be useful to compare the piece parts of GPFactor plate to the Capit version. It is curious that GPFactor found it necessary to commission a smaller custom winch from ComeUp because of packaging constraints while Capit uses a standard full size winch from Warn. It seems possible that Capit choose to provide a plate of lower strength in order to accommodate a full size winch.

Did you look at the pictures on their website and the directions I linked?
I am obviously missing something because when I go to their website the only photos are of a fully installed setup. There are no images of the individual parts. And the photos in the instructions are quite minimal, one pic of the mounting plate from a distance.
