Wow: I can buy in the UK (ex-VAT) for $1690! Shipping to Florida from there is not going to cost me $800!!!!!
Watch out. That's just for the rock sliders. You order the rock sliders and steps separately.

Price differences due to shipping to US deleting VAT
Rock Sliders = $1496.00
Steps = $500.50
Shipping to Tx = $813.89

Total = $2810.39

@Black Sheep reached out to the dealers but then seem to have disappeared, not responding to any emails. I know we have tried to contact them multiple times since.

Collecting this tax for shipments outside the EU simply pads their margin on the sale. No tax is owed to the governing authority. Definitely not a customer friendly policy.
Last time I checked Switzerland was not part of the EU, their tax laws will vary from the EU so maybe don't be so quick to judge. VAT is also lower in Switzerland than most EU countries, 7.7% versus 19% in Germany.

Before this becomes a general pile on maybe read this earlier post from the owner of Black Sheep, they are couple of passionate guys in a small shed in Switzerland making some really nice gear.

Appreciate the link. It's encouraging to see Black Sheep's enthusiasm and growth. Although, the update seems focused on customer inquiries, not dealer communications.

To clarify, Black Sheep proactively contacted dealers about partnership opportunities. Like @Boise, I responded to their proposal (a month ago) but haven't yet received a follow-up. Eager to hear back and still interested in collaborating.

I believe they attended SEMA and had another show lined up after that, they had a header on their website for a while in November saying they would be hard to contact.

I have nothing to do with them, I just like Thomas' innovative product and enthusiasm. I would prefer buying product like this from an Engineer who needs to brush up on his Marketing than a Marketer who needs to brush up on his Engineering.

Black Sheep does not deduct the VAT from their prices when items are sold to customers outside the EU. Another negative.

Before and after putting in my address. 7.7% difference = VAT. Shows "plus 0% VAT" at the bottom. You have to get to the end of the process.

They don't do this if you get to the end of the ordering process. Create an account, put in your shipping address, it deletes the VAT.

Just to clarify on this, @Fidei Defensor’s
Comments was in relation to the Buzz Rocksiders, which have an integrated step which isn’t an additional cost.

Black Sheep is trying to trick you into thinking there is no VAT charge on your order by showing $0.00 at checkout.
In reality, the prices quoted on their website include VAT, but they stay the same upon checkout and do not discount the VAT.
Misleading at best.
No, I literally posted photos. This is not correct. You go to the website and change their pricing to USD and you get one price that includes 7.7% VAT. You go and you put in your address and the price drops. The price goes from $1611 to $1496. This is the third posting of this on the same page, with pictures (and hot links). Before you start badmouthing people publicly maybe actually verify things first. At the least you should delete your accusations but better yet you should give an apology.

You say "plethora" .... In the greater commercial world (of Jeeps/Broncos/Toys....), Ineos will be a very small fish. I do not see many manufacturers jumping into that small market. Sure, a couple of small "cottage industry" players may, but compared with Europe (where obviously Ineos have less competition and have succeded in attracting a few manufacturers (admittedly very much specialist shops), the US may be slow to see products....
My comment is a bit late, but I wanted to add that I think the 200 series Land Cruiser is a good benchmark for this. There is a surprising amount of aftermarket options made in the US for the 200 series considering how few were sold here. EDIT -- I'll also add that it took a long time for that market to develop, so if you bought a 2008 LC200 you were shipping stuff internationally for many years...

Companies that have already publicly stated they plan to produce products include LFD Off Road and Expedition One (Through and/or in conjunction with Warner Ineos). I'll await other companies making official statements before putting their business on the internet, but they are usual players in this market segment, specifically popular in the Toyota/Lexus world
Just calleds Expedition One toady and they claim they have no further plan with Grenadier accessory development at the moment. It looks like they backed off.

They have said they are working on US distribution. I'd wait for that before paying international freight.
I hope they do. They have some of the best stuff I’ve seen for the grenadine so far. I love their design tastes. Coolest slider/steps I’ve seen… with a price to match.

I was certainly interested in the sliders from LeTech, BS, and Buzz - the use of high quality stainless from Buzz put them to the top. I’m looking forward to their arrival.
