Black Sheep ARB Dual Compressor Mount.

I agree, that wiring is, from what I can see in the photo, is totally inadequate for the power draw.
The main harness is already buried and can’t be seen—well a lump of the excess main wiring harness can be seen in the photo.

The “mess” is just the switch wiring. I cleaned that up today.

Apologies I stand corrected

At first glance—you made an accurate assessment. I failed to mention that lump!

I have to tip my hat to the guys down under. You guys have been a fantastic resource of information and help. Big thank you.

They maybe the control circuit wires, not the power circuit. The power cable should look like the fused cables in the top left of this image.

Black Sheep was kind enough to provide this diagram for a simple switch. Just need to make sure the diode is pointed in the right direction. I put it near the battery connection.

Wire install was neat. Almost looks factory. Compressor is now operational. Will take some pictures before I put the cover on.
I see this compressor has a 40A fuse. So did you use the spare 40A fused auxillary wires that are in the battery compartment when optioned with high load wiring.

Well, I didn’t show the attachment being installed! Kind of important. I put the quick attach ARB.

No rattling when driving. I found that putting small strips of electrical tape between the mounting plates, on the body panels where the cover mounts and over my wire connectors made the difference, especially on the plastic wire connectors. They tend to vibrate causing an annoying plastic to plastic vibration noise if one of the connectors orients in a way that would allow that to occur.

Hi ethree, That is a very nice install and takes up minimum space too. Did you purchase the ARB from Blacksheep or just the install brackets?

Just the brackets. I picked up the compressor for just over $600. Seemed senseless to have them send me the compressor back across the Atlantic and pay customs on it. I think they offer that bundle for European/African customers out of convenience.

Why a dual compressor? Faster, or is it redundancy.
I run 2 single ARB compressors under the Ineos on a bash plate I made between the chassis and sill panel, and separately wired, so faster, and it saves carrying a second compressor for redundancy when traveling in remote locations solo, so I would say both.
The air intake and outlet, power supply and switch are all under the bonnet.

Just FYI: The ARB single compressor has a 40 amp fuse, the ARB dual compressor has 40 amp x 2.

So for someone new to electrics - does this mean it should come off an 80A fused circuit or a 40A?

The supplied cabling comes wired as 2 separate 40 amp wires, but mine is to be installed this month and I am expecting both wires will be wired into the 7 stud busbar using a 80 ZCase Mega fuse in the spare slot, or the auto electrician will directly connect both wires (and supplied fuses) to the main battery aux post.
