Auto return steering fix ?

If you're going to wheel your rig, I would not worry about the reduce life span reduction by going to an adjustable damper. Coming from the Jeep world I am used to replacing steering dampers. They are constantly getting destroyed on rocks and can be swapped out in a few minutes in your driveway.

So I have the Fox Adjustable one from Agile. I've yet to find a setting I actually like, at first it would kick the wheel all over the place so I tightened it up a bit but as of right now if I run out of settings and testing I'll just go back to OEM. It does not return to center however it gives more effort to offset what you must do to get it to center, meaning its easier. I feel more of the road which I don't mind, off road it has been rough still tuning it in for my liking.

That's interesting. Mine with the adjustable will return to center pretty much all by itself. As well, I put about 500-1000miles on my truck without a stabilizer at all and kinda loved it. I just put on the FOX to prevent death wobble. Mine steers about like any other SUV at this point.

That is interesting, I'm still adjusting slowly to see if I can find the best balance but I haven't found a setting where it goes all the way back to center, meaning it is much quicker and easier to get it there than oem but its not would I say a "fix".

The stabilizer certainly does not do anything to force the steering to center. Its a passive device in that respect. If your caster and toe are not right then you may continue to have issue. The return to center tendency on the Gren is very light.

Good luck with it, I hope it helps in the long run. You might try removing it and feeling the steering without any damper to see how it does.

Just recently had the alignment process completed came out great!! But I do notice the wheel moves faster with the FOX on it. However I also notice a lot off feedback when hitting uneven surface or bumps it kicks the wheel around. So I stiffened it up a bit that did help but still testing to see how far I can go with it.

Absolutely you will feel the road more with the FOX damper. The guys from Agile have a setup video with a description of how they like it set. I recommend trying their settings.

I prefer more road feel, I don't want a dead steering wheel.

Yeah they ship it out with their settings according to their video. That was my starting point. I agree I like to feel more in the steering for sure, just not jolting around the wheel. I notice if you go to soft it will bounce around.

What PSI do you have in your tires
