AUSTRALIA: Third party suppliers for the Grenadier

I messaged OffRoad Animal today and I have some exciting news.

They just finished scanning a Grenadier earlier this week. They are looking at having a prototype bullbar ready in a few months.

Their Toro bar design is absolute drop dead killer. Can’t wait to see what they come up with for the Grenadier

They have renders up for the L663 Defender and to the best of my knowledge they will be first to market with a proper full hoop bullbar for that vehicle.

Even better our American cousins🫡 can jump on board as well. Off Road Animal have outlets in the US as well.

FUEL TRANSFER
  1. Scrunnel; the thread on the Scrunnel is incompatible with the Grenadier, at least for the AU Spec Diesel model; and
  2. The Tanami Pump; the Metal Jerry Can Transfer Pump. No moving parts, the pump runs on compressed air. You need an air compressor to use (it can be used with manual air pumps).
Part 2
STARLINK
  1. Kelmatt Bag to carry Starlink Kit here;
  2. Cooee Canvas Starlink Travel Bag, look here; and
  3. DRIFTA Starlink Gen 2 Satellite Carry Bag, look here.

I think the scrunnel needs a screw in fuel receiver which the grenadier does not have

I will check and report back.

EDIT: glad you asked the question. The thread on a Scrunnel is incompatible with the Grenadier - at least the AU Spec Diesel model. Description updated.

I will look into the screw in receiver but that will take time (I cannot see it it on their website), so I will leave the warning on the Scrunnel.

I cannot get that link to work. EDIT: it worked after I turned off NORD VPN. Thanks link added to Part 1.
Ah, I see the theme was ground mats not sleeping mats.
I was triggered as we were searching for good sleeping mats for years.

On the ground mat front, we have one of the cgear military mats.
A step up from the 16m2 piece of shadecloth that it replaced.

What are you using?

The other item maybe worth having on the Fuel Transfer list is Mr Funnel:

This is the sort of thing you want if your diesel or fuel is coming from a rusty Territory undergound tank or Uzbek milk can.

I use a Multimat from CGear. It just minimises the sand and dirt.

I will buy the Muk Mat as I will get into the Grenadier a different way to the Patrol and I will need to get any sand/dirt off my feet. In the Patrol I took my boots off while seating in the driver's seat, changed and climbed between the seats into the bed in the back. I cannot do that in the Grenadier with the cargo barrier.

I have one but have never needed it. I always add Fuel Doctors to any remote fuel and the car had 2 fuel filters. I managed to avoid fuel contamination for 12 years.

EDIT: apparently the BMW motor is more sensitive to fuel quality than the Patrol, so I may need to start using Mr Funnel. Apparently truck diesel* is not good for the B57. In Australia all diesel must meet a standard, so it is not clear whether such an observation applies to Australia (the comments I read may apply to standards in other countries). But I will avoid biodiesel, until I see clear guidance from INEOS or BMW. Biodiesel, in Australia, uses a different standard.

*Truck diesel, in Australia, can simply mean a high flow nozzle on the pump, high flow pumps only work with the Grenadier using an adapter nozzle.

Added to list.
