UK & Ireland Arrived at Chandlers, Belton

Check out the map on the Grenadier website. My dealer is now Service only (Chandlers of Grantham and Horncastle). Nearest retail outlet is now miles away.

When I spoke to Jason last he said they would not be taking on a full franchise. They lost a technician recently, so I suspect that is part of it. Sandicliffe in Nottingham has gone completely, so I hope Chandlers stay with it.

They have a good sales team. However now selling SKYWELL - WTF? Horrible electric tat from China.

I count 10 sales centres for the whole of the UK, doesn't give me much confidence TBH!

I don’t think it’s been marketed very well here in UK - there’s now a lot of activity on Instagram & Facebook, but not much TV Advertising. It’s a superb vehicle, but I think under the radar for many potential buyers

Given that the US only has 24, I guess you just have to consider scale. Most of us drive more than 2 hours to our dealer - many 4-6 hours.

Be interesting to know Jonny? However I am sure you will be - Adam or Richard would have notified you if not.
I heard a couple of days ago that my Grenadier is now built and already in UK. But it seems I’ll now be collecting from Busseys in Norfolk (90 miles away) as opposed to Chandlers, Belton where I ordered it (18 miles). Oh well - a day out to a part of Norfolk I’ve not been to before. And it’s easily accessible via a 3 - hour bus and 2 train ride.

I'd have thought Northampton was nearer, although with the speed dealers are vanishing, I may be out of date?

I did contact Chandlers, as I'm worried how long they will stay servicing our Grenadiers. Obviously, totally nocommital which I respect. However, regarding the dealership, they did say it was out of their hands as IG are reducing to 10. Sad really!

Hope your truck is all you expect, don't be put off by any silly posts on here.

For example I fitted Lazers lights for rear illumination to a Rhino Roof Bar, unfortunately when I installed them, the cables were too short and the bar was positioned too far forward, last night I extended the cables and positioned them where they should have been fitted initially. I powered back up and I had an E-call malfunction. This morning, let the vehicle go to sleep for 15 mins, disconnected the battery, waited (had a coffee). Reconnected, and the fault gone has gone. However, on reconnect you get other indications associated with the 4wd system, drive it 10 yards and all goes away........things you learn with the vehicle.

Have to say if Chandlers stop servicing the vehicle, then I will definitely sell and buy a Z4 or something equally silly.

From the 1st April Vehicle Excise Duty is: £5490 and £620pa. More nails in the coffin for Ineos in the UK. I notice that the price on the Ineos website has not changed - (maybe they are soaking it up).

No just slow to update the website

Just booked my Grenadier into Chandlers. May is maxing out, recommend anybody in our catchment area to book to get a place.

I think I saw a service contract available from Chandlers, will ask for more details when mine goes in.

My only fault is inaccurate TPMS system, which I ignore. The positive is that it will tell me when I have pressure loss.

On the plus side, Bussey's dealership is only a five minute walk from the Atteleborough railway station. 👍

My Grenadier’s arrived at Busseys! Unfortunately no siderunners or checker-plate wing protectors. Also the registration number is different to the V5C… hmmm View attachment 7893038
Sometimes the accessories can take a while - when US deliveries started, trailer hitches were taking MONTHS. It’s all good - you just get to work on your pole vaulting skills until your side runners show up. Some members in the forum (from the UK actually) seem to be of the opinion that the proper ingress protocol is a running jump through the window - they also suggested painting a Confederate flag on the side, like the Dukes of Hazard

I didn't think the checker plates were available in the UK. The side runners are dealer-installed accessories. So, Busseys should fit that. Busseys is my local.

For me, the side runners are mainly to climb on when closing the iKamper roof-top tent - it’s too high up to reach/tuck-in the canvas without something to step on. I’ll find a way around it until the siderunners arrive. They’re a standard fitment of the 1924 edition, so a bit surprised they didn’t ship with the vehicle.

I’ve seen checker-plate wing protectors fitted to one Grenadier in UK - £345 fitted. Zero stock according to dealer at the moment..
