Anyone seen the OEM drawer system in the configurator in person?

Has anyone seen the OEM drawer system offered in the vehicle configurator in real life and have pictures they could share? I asked my local dealer but they didn’t have any additional information to share in terms of how it is constructed or instructions to install it yourself. Looking at other options as well but wanted to know more about the OEM unit also.

From what I have heard there was supposed to be at least one system in the US in Q4 of 2024, but I haven't seen anything materialize as of yet

It’s made by gearmate (https://www.gearmate.co.uk/shop-by-vehicle?year_id=657&make=660&model=661) but the model they supply through INEOS is different than what they sell directly. I would expect the same fit and finish though.

I’ve also contacted my dealer to try to order it but haven’t heard back yet.

Looks like a decent enough unit for a basic cargo drawer. Not really looking for an all out Overlanding system at this point just some convenient storage would be handy.

I’m hearing pricing US to be around $2,400 for the OEM unit with another $500 to $600 for installation. Being a DIY type I’d prefer to due the install as I can’t see it being overly complicated. Curious if it would be cheaper through Gearmate assuming they can ship overseas? Maybe we get enough folks interested and get a bulk deal?

I agree, it’s ridiculously expensive for what it is and worse for the folks out there who might not be handy with tools. You’d be looking at over $3K easily to have it installed at a dealer which just insane in my opinion. Looking at other options for sure.

Definitely! I struggle with internal sliders/drawers. I have done them in the past and while I do LOVE them at times, I am trying to see if we would actually use them in our vehicle right now.

I've ordered the gearmate one. However, their standard model sits higher than the OEM one they make. If you want it the same size as the OEM version (so it's level when the seats are folded), you need to request at time of ordering.

Price does not seem to over the top to me. Supposedly an easy install so not sure why a dealer would charge $500-$600 to do so.

Perfect thanks for sharing these detailed shots and this is from the same company making the OEM offering but it’s just a bit taller if I recall? Curious if it rattles and makes noise when empty while driving around? Any insights you can provide on noise or overall build quality would be great… much appreciated!

Correct - Gearmate makes their version and the OEM one. Mine has the same dimensions as the OEM one (you have to ask). The only thing was I had to have the two-lock drawer, rather than single of the OEM. I wanted this version, so it would be the same level when the seats were down. I posted this pic in another thread earlier:

The only place I've seen it mentioned is in the configurator. It's not in the accessories catalogue (unless I have an old version):
