I have read most of the posts on the subject and tried every possible avenue , but no way!
When delivered my Grenadier had the gear lever pin out issue.Dealer replaced the Bowden cable.
After that ,I could lock the transfer case, no problem
But impossible to move from high to low either on locked or unlocked.I have extensively tried today in fields for the first time
Many comments recommend to apply some force, but I am a bit loath to do that.My maximum pull has been about 10 kg
Should it be more or back to the dealer?
Would you have another trick not discussed yet?

It's a deliberate action going from 4H to 4L but not significantly more than locking the center diff. Assuming you know to be in neutral and have read the manual then I'd put it on the dealer to resolve. Especially since you mentioned the dealer replaced the cable. If that's not an option get under it and have someone operate the transfer case shifter to see if it's obstructed. If you haven't used something to keep the shift collar pin retained confirm it's still there.

Also try rolling the truck forward just little bit, then you can pull the lever back, some time you need to help mesh the gears, again put it in neutral before changing range.

From the manual

"The center differential can be locked and unlocked with the transfer case selector while on the move so long as the axles are rotating at the same speed. Range changes require shifting to N (Neutral) on the automatic transmission.

In some cases, shifting range with the transfer case selector can be difficult. Do not force it. Allow the Grenadier to roll forward a few inches to allow the internal mechanisms to align and attempt shifting again.

To shift the transfer case range:

1. Bring your Grenadier to a complete stop and continue to hold the brake pedal.

2. Shift the gear selector to N (Neutral).

3. Lift and hold the locking collar on the transfer case selector and shift it to the desired range position."
