I finished the install of the ā€œplug and playā€ system tonight.

(I ordered without the ā€œstand aloneā€ kit, but did order sound dampening, insulation, modified a-pillars with the tweeters installed - all-in, $2800, I think)

Instructions are top notch. A 78-page set of instructions for installing speakers, amp, sub. Two 14 page instruction manuals for doing sound dampening and insulation on the doors.

I worked on a few other projects at the same time - installing a wolfbox g900 pro, lights in the back door, a flip down table, usb power in the footwellsā€¦ so I canā€™t give a really good estimate on timing - but it was A LOT of work. I learned a ton about the truck with all the stuff I removed.

Pain points:
  1. Getting the connectors out of the back of the stereo head unit (which is under the steering wheel) was the most painful part. I couldnā€™t get my head under there to see it from the back, so I pulled the lower dash panels out, unscrewed the stereo bracketā€¦ and found the cables were too short to let me really pull it out. But I got a slightly better view and was finally able to remove the connector for the speakers.
  2. Only other casualty was a few of the clips for the door cards. Iā€™ve ordered what I think are usable replacements from Amazon which, of course have been delayed multiple timesā€¦. If anyone has found the door cards clips in the US, please let me know! And if the clips I bought worked, Iā€™ll share the news.
  3. I chipped the paint on the edge of the passenger door when I opened the door too wide into the table that my CNC sits on. Amazing that hard maple can chip automotive paint! I saw a thread on getting touch-up paint, so thatā€™s a project Iā€™ll take on soon.
As far as the final impression of the system? WOW. Itā€™s amazing. Sounds quality is terrific and youā€™ve got a ton of headroom with volume. Iā€™m really really pleased with the upgrade.

Enjoy our system.
For all others. In January the shipping option for the U.S. will official available in the shop. We think to add the option "left hand granb handle A-pillar" to the system. Any thoughts if this is interesting?

I bought it all from one source here in the bay area.
I'm traveling right now but if you ping me after the 13th I can see if I can get the same deal for you (one of my former employees used to be in the car sound industry and gave me a bit of discount).
Sounds great thanks
