The automatic emergency braking would mean a front radar sensor. It's in a great spot on the Jeep GC, nice & low, wide open to damage from sand, rocks, water, mud.... and only $5k to replace.

I can adjust the mirrors so that by the time a vehicle disappears from the mirror it's in my peripheral vision, so is one really necessary?
Not necessary, but helpful if someone passes on the wrong side - or worse, blind spot sits. Backup cameras aren’t necessary - we can turn our heads, although I guess the same applies to mirrors just the same.

Not all systems use radar, they can be camera only based. For example I believe Tesla do not use radar, all camera based.

They may use something similar to this??

it is a must have for the model 2024 for the emergency braking and the lane assist.

Definitely. And as the lane assist works with brake intervention it might bring a higher wear of the brakes as well.

Source? Where is that from?
Has anyone heard from INEOS something specific:

1) YES this is an issues and YES we will have a software fix we are addressing (sometime)
- or -

2) Yes this is an issue, but NO we are not doing shitola because of some silly reg that their lawyers are saying.
