Used 3 of the DVA Mechanics clamps to mount my 48-in. Hi-Lift to the rear ladder. I'll add the neoprene boot to the bottom and the handle isolator at the top (note, jack base removed - I keep it stored with the rest of the Hi-Lift kit inside the truck).
Sadly, as mentioned above, if you orient the clamps 180-degrees so that the entirety of the ladder rungs are free of obstruction, the Hi-Lift will bump into the tail light when the smaller door is fully opened. It's possible that the neoprene boot would prevent damage, but why take the chance?
