I've had my Trialmaster 2-seater for about two weeks now and have noticed a few things that I wanted to get some opinions on:

1. Water collects in the passenger door sill and flows out when I open the door after some rain (no water inside the car, it's completely dry there) - Is this just a rubber sealing issue?
2. In the infotainment system, the 'offroad' menu seems to load pretty slowly, while the others are much faster - Is this expected behaviour?
3. One rear parking sensor goes full BEEP as soon as I put it in reverse, no matter how much clearance there is - I've read others had similar issues, is there an easy fix?
4. I'm noticing a slight rumble and noisier engine around 1800-2200 RPM, outside of that range (below and above) it's much quieter - can this be addressed, how?

Would love to know if anyone else has had similar observations. All of this has been shared with the dealer, now waiting for a response.

None of these are huge issues, I've not been excited about a new car as much as I've ever been with the Grenny!

Hi!

Here is what my dealer said:

1. Go inside and state that the passenger doors are leaking. There is a current warranty program for them to redo the door seals.
2. Infotainment system is just slow in general.
3. I would try and clean the rear sensors off. May just be grime in front of them. If not I would take that in
4. I have checked all my fluids and noticed they were all low. I plan on changing the oil at the 500 mile mark. I do notice the engine is a bit louder and rumbles a bit harder before the engine is completely warmed up

Hi and welcome aboard.
  1. That was an early problem and the dealer should be able to fix it easily, surprised they hadn't before giving it to you.
  2. Offroad menu has to go out and gather a lot of info before displaying. Tyre pressures, electrical, angles etc.
  3. There have been some faulty rear parking sensors and sometimes they have come loose or have dirt on them. Clean it, check for mounting and if not resolved get dealer to replace. Front sensors also have problems if bull bar fitted so I just permanently turned mine off. I can see the front out the windscreen so don't see the need for them.
  4. Most engines have a resonant sound at certain speeds or in certain gears. It may smooth out as it runs in. Turn the music up a bit.

I too have a Trialmaster Utility Wagon. I took delivery of mine in July 23.

1. Your dealer should be able to sort out any issues with your door seals. It’s a quick fix.

2. The Off-road menu does take a few seconds to load.

3. My parking sensors work fine, so again your dealer should be able to sort that out.

4. Not sure about your engine rumble. Someone else might be able to give you some assistance there.

Here’s a link to my build, in case you’re interested …

Yeah, that is my fix as well, crank the music. Actually I just installed a Milltek exhaust system and that baby is loud. My wife hates it and I love it now! What engine noise??
