Thx to all on this thread. With y’alls feedback I decided to get beadlock wheels with the BFG 35x12.5x17 going. It looks amazing and I’ll let you know how it performs!

At some point the more you lift a 5 link the more extreme the angle of the control arms. You begin to shorten the wheelbase and increase overhang which "can" decrease approach/departure angles. Granted and inch or two of lift isn't doing much harm.

Didn't @AMan fit 35s early on?

I’ve had 285/70/17 from day 1. Now moving to a new aftermarket winch bullbar, suspension and 315/70/17. I’ve had the Eibach euro springs for about 12k km with no issues but for my travels the new shocks and springs are better suited. I didn’t get the Eibach US spring kit because I felt the angles were too extreme. New suspension will be adjustable shocks and springs. 40mm lift.

Those beadlock 35 rhinos looks pretty neat. How do they get the beadlock off? That looks like its not enough space between socket bolt and the sidewall to get a socket into?

I bought Kahn stuff for my D110 Defender as well from them. They are legit for sure, danny.robson@kahndesign.com, Danny helped me and shipping for the wheels was like 10 days I think? I bought 5 wheels for $2565.00. I had the same wheels on my defender and they are just a great look for either truck.

Do people do it? Absolutely

Is the OEM steel wheel within the recommended width range of a 35x12.5 tire? No

Each tire is a bit different, so looking at the exact recommendation from the tire manufacturer is a great place to start

You mention staggered lift. I’m not sure what that means. Can I just take my OEM wheels off and simply put the Kahn’s on.

Staggered lift in this case means a different front and rear lift height.

To fit 35x12.5x17? You'll want at least a 30mm lift or you'll rub even on flat roads.
