hundreds of workers and no one can whip out their iphone for a couple of snaps of the production line finish?

Hopefully we’ll see a professional video soon. 🙂

I was in one of our factories in Switzerland a few months ago and asked if I could take a picture and received a very quick "NO"
I can see quite a few taking video's and pictures of the finished product but I would be surprised if they were allowed to do it in the production area.

We seem to live in a overly serious, uptight and censorious world, where every roadside Stop/Go girl thinks they're a God - god help us alI.

In more relaxed and friendly times, customers picking up their new car from Stuttgart got a guided "factory tour" and could happily snap away.

Strange headline "Made in Moselle".

It's "Assembled in Moselle".
Don't forget there are a few other manufacturers/suppliers locally based. Voestalpine press the major body structures, Gestamp for the chassis & I think some plastics parts come from within what used to called "Smartville".

The claim seems anyway a bit daring to me.

Brembo Brakes...Italian. What do we know about in-cab electronics?

Smart used to do factory tours ~ so hopefully coming back again. Maybe covid has an impact?

I'm not sure why they can't have a webcam setup?
