1st SOP INEOS Grenadier

Seems logical to me: Even if they claim to have "perfect production results now" (they have to at some point), that would mean another level of quality assurance before delivery to end customers.

I would assume, though, that this is "made to order" production, i.e. they only start building YOUR Grenadier once they have your blue ink on the contract. But as we have been promised on Thursday, the week before last week, an outreach within 2 weeks, we should hear something by this Thursday. (I know - HOPE is a 4 letter word ;-) )

edit: typo

Agreed. Given that no contracts have been signed, the only cars currently running off the production line must all be demonstrators - or fleet buyers.
We actually don't know that no contracts have been signed.

Remember those agent emails looking for VIP customers to accelerate their orders? Ineos might be looking to recruit a sample of new owners to form a post-delivery QA group.

Part of bringing them into the tent might be a requirement not to discuss publicly...

Even INEOS Group employees purchasing a Grenadier have not had contracts from their dealers....(or discounts!) so not sure who these VIPs are.
I thought first month or so of production was allotted to demonstrators, press vehicles, sponsor cars and the winners of the return trip home competition of course.

There are no dealers (leaving the US aside) only agents.

Agents will not be a party to a sales contract - that will be Ineos.

Why would you know who the VIP customers are? There's a thread on here covering the topic earlier. Would it be odd for Ineos to select an early group to monitor initial customer feedback?

We seem to be in Launch Series, and most if not all of the press is talking about customer vehicles. Previously, the demo fleet were going to be PTO3. So it's not clear yet what exactly is happening.

Like others have said, the 2 week clock is ticking for us to learn something substantive about our own vehicle builds; or at least that's what I took from the last video from Mark Tennant.

How many agents are there who get a vehicle? Each of them will probably get three to five over a certain time.
agents x 5 / number of cars produced per week might bring the number of weeks the first customers have to wait

Couple of points for you all. NO customers have had a contract yet whether you're David Beckham or Jesus Christ, none. Demo fleet will be between 2-3 of different variants depending on you're expected volume size. Probably PTO-3 to start.
The agent that will be organizing our test drives is receiving one demo and another car that the dealer-principle of the group has ordered for his personal use and as an extra test vehicle...just wondering if the proportion of test vehicles equates to those ordered and interested parties in the local vicinity?

All only speculation because no information about volume coming off the line behind Sir Jim's.

However, it's worth remembering that average weekly production for the first 12 months was originally estimated at 300.

Probably lower for the first few weeks but still maybe by the end of October maybe INEOS will have produced 300 to 400 beautiful new Grenadiers.

I agree. There is no need for a conspiracy theory to explain. The simplest explanation is that they are focussed on getting the product right before delivering to customers. Given I expect to own the vehicle for 10 years plus, I don’t mind waiting until they are happy with it.

I have also just ordered a second as a farm vehicle after the early test drive reviews. There is nothing else like it (in the UK) and it is clearly built to take punishment and last. Concerns on driver footwell and low hanging undercarriage components seem to have been addressed.

On that basis it is good value at the launch price, as it will hold its value and the total cost of ownership will be low.

Yes I watched that last night:

Quite a bit of polished marketing in some of those figures:

I think we'd know about it one way or another either through this forum or the handful of Grenadier Facebook Groups many of us will also belong to :)
