UK & Ireland 12 May - there are 7 for sale on Autotrader

Got that wrong - there are now TEN for sale.

A couple have been sold and more come up. Seems like a good earner!

All with some miles (as high as 1800).

My question is it the money or is it a dislike of the vehicle?

Ineresting the asking price is between 20-30k over purchase price!
That is a massive mark-up on what is essentially a brand new car.

If you are going to flip then get in early because as the weeks go by that mark-up % will slowly fall

or maybe go up, how many people have seen or heard of them? Everyone here but not in the wild!

You beat me to it! I rewatched and saw the floor mat which gave the name of the dealer. Acklam Car Centre Middlesbrough North Yorkshire.

Now 35 for sale on Autotrader (UK). Highest number I have seen to date. Mostly stabilised around £75k. Although someone is ultra greedy today, £87,500, which is probably more than £20k over what was paid for it.

Same happened with the new Defender. So much so, that Land Rover tried to put a stop to it by making buyers sign an agreement not to sell the vehicle on for at least six months.

Don't think I know another new car with so many haters scud book is full of them is it envy or are some people just always angry .

IMO, most people are upset because they can not purchase them. They remind me of a toddler that has mantra of "If I can't have it, no one can have it." I have read comments from people stating their orginal price was X and now it's 2 times that price. And at the current price they can not afford them. A simple question should be asked, why didn't you buy it at X. It's call opportunity cost. They decided to wait which is with in their right but the tradeoff was a higher price.

It comes down to this. At a diesel stop today the lady in pump in front of me with a Merc convertible said "is that a Jeep ?
I said no over the noise.
I signalled to come over when we'd refueled. She came and said "so it's not a Jeep"
No
It's a Grenadier by INEOS ....and there's only about 4000 so far in the world.
She said " I always end up having sportscars"............ then said ...

" It's georgeous !"

Priceless

I notice there are now 43 for sale. Some with low miles and others up to 1000 miles.

I wonder what the proportion of for sale to actual owners is?

Do we know how many Grenadiers have actually been delivered in the UK?

There is article that Ineos has stated they are putting a stop on flippers. I wonder if people are trying to get in under the wire.

Would appear that the number for sale as stabilised on Autotrader (around 92). Not many Trialmasters, mostly Utilities and Fieldmasters.

However, at my agent, they had a line of them for sale and not on Autotrader, they were mostly Utilities, I guess because of the VAT situation for businesses.
