So i've connected inverter to the NATO plug, Using electric tea kettle (2200W). 4000W inverter worked perfectly. Amperage between 160-175A (on clamp meter), running engine. After 40 secs grenadier shows "LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE" a few moment later, alternator goes full power (change sound of engine). Measuring on Alternator in "full load" deliveres 140-145Amps. My batteries are new, fully charged.
The NATO socket outputs 12V DC (up to 14.4V DC if the engine is running) and is current limited to around 350 Amps which is the fuse rating. The overhead switch is labelled 500 Amps which is probably a momentary current for rear winching, which is the only endorsed use of the NATO socket.
