Two Button Presses. That is all it takes if you map the Fav key to ADAS->Overspeed warning.
It take's more key (fob) presses to unlock the doors, open the radio etc.

The "features" like it or not are here to stay, they are part of a collection of services that aim to decrease damage and loss of life. There is not and for the foreseeable future will not be a means to edit/hack/root the safety systems. At BEST, some point down the road, if enterprising sources may figure how to get software that will read and write values to the (ex BimmerCode) module

Exactly. It isn't like I can disable them on my Escalade either. Granted the seat vibrates and doesn't give me a loud noise. I also do not drive it that much so I haven't fully "programmed" it to fit our various drivers needs.

True, except when the infotainment glitches and th button presses doesn’t take you to the programmed menu (which happens quite frequently, for me).

The FAV button press works about 50% of the time, if you do it at just the right time in the power on sequence; sometimes it takes you somewhere else in the menus, sometimes it takes 10 seconds. It's B.S. Your acceptance of ridiculous "features" does not mean any of the rest of us have to be happy about them. Or, for that matter, that we shouldn't take action against this trend, be it technological or political.

Seems to happen for us when have Bluetooth enabled and is trying to connect/connected to multiple phones. I suspect is trying to do too many things at once. Not sure what cpu (brain) Ineos using

My favorite button usually works, but when it doesn't, it will disconnect my phone. Solved by turning the phone Bluetooth off and back on again.

Thanks for sharing, seems to confirm our suspicion about BT being part of equation.

Exactly this, because some people don’t mind we should all just accept crap. I’m so tired of being told that I should just love the Grenadier because it exists, and I should use a shortcut that only works sometimes. But hey be happy at least it works half right half the time. Funny I shut off ADAS in my M2 once when I brought it home, I’ve never had to touch the settings again. But oh yes the grenadier is soooooo amazzzzzingg I should just like it

If you are truly that unsatisfied with the Grenadier, you are probably best served returning the IG. Or you could just complain more,.

And you could accept that some of us don’t appreciate sub par. And shove your opinion about what I should do with my truck wherever you like I’m going to keep the god dames thing. Get that through your skull

Is this your answer to everything in life?
You’ll find on this forum if you don’t exude the virtue of Ineos and worship at the altar of sub par you’ll be told sell your truck often. Either you take it as is and live with all the bull shit, or you sell it. There can be no middle ground. Complain about the truck at your own peril because the Ineos gods will frown down upon you for complaining.

It’s been said previously but maybe worth saying again that ADAS is not a US requirement…yet, but IG decided to include them in US vehicles. And even if they were required in 2024, most vehicles that have similar warnings allow the end-user to disable them and not turn on again.

If the speed warning/4clicks saves lives, I’d like to see stats that reflect that statement. Until the vehicle actually slows you down or governs your speed, which is coming I’m sure, 4 clicks ain’t going to do $hit…except to be incredibly annoying.

The other ADAS systems like lane departure, emergency breaking, etc…I can see having some benefits.

The 4 clicks just let me know I have another 10mph to go!

Sadly CA is going to try to mandate the audible and visual speed warning. This will effectively make it a requirement in the whole of the USA.

Remember, up until recently the "real" capital of the United States was in CA. We will see what comes in the near future.

+1

Having seemingly random warnings pop up all the time about things that we can't even control (like the ADAS camera can't "see" right now due to rain) is a huge and stupid distraction.

When I was stuck working in Seattle for 3 years I found that taking a shit ton of vitamin D really helped with my bad moods brought on by short days and a lack of sunshine this time of year.

I’m pretty critical of some of the stupid shit ineos plastered on this rig, and not entirely committed to it even though I’m proceeding with planning like I am, so one really can’t call me a fanboy, but with the issues you’ve documented, and the vitriol which which you describe the trucks shortcomings, any casual reader is gonna recommend you part with it to maintain your sanity. It ain’t fanboyz busting’ nutz it’s just normal people putting themselves in your shoes, and suggesting the course of action they would take.

A truck is just a tool, and while we all make concessions when a tool isn’t perfect, you don’t really make this read as if it works for you at all. Life’s too short to be angry and frustrated at a frigging truck that didn’t meet expectations.
