Agency 6 have some cool recovery shovels that mount on a bracket that can be fixed flat or on an angle, you could probably find a way to adapt the bracket to the utility belt. Due to the angled shoulder below the utility belt I am not sure they would work with the blade underside facing out, might work with underside facing in? They look great when mounted on a molle panel like the CAtuned.

I actually ticked the box for the Rhino shovel as part of my order, and the length seems to fit perfectly on the rear section without fouling the second row door, or the load space door. I’m trying to avoid roof mounted accessories at this stage, and would be nice to carry a shovel externally in an easy to get to place when travelling off-road.

Anyone done this yet who can share details on what they used for mounting?

I contacted Rhino-Rack, but they were unable to tell me how the Stow-its would mount to the utility belt.

I made the brackets shown in the pic below and used a Quick Fist to attach a shovel made by Bully Tools (#92712, available on Amazon). Very happy with this setup. Super quick to grab the shovel when needed, and the knobs allow quick removal of the brackets when I don't need them.

The ones shown are unpainted prototypes but the final powder coated brackets are ready to be ordered in a batch if there is sufficient interest. This is a multi-purpose bracket that has a few different uses (shovel mount, griddle mount, or GoPro mount). I plan to start a new thread about this in the Skunkworks forum soon.

I ordered quick fists and tried a few combinations, but in the end the contour of the car didn’t allow enough room for me to be comfortable the shovel wouldn’t make contact with the paint. Interested to see if others find a better as I would like to make use of those tracks with something practical! So far they’ve been ornamental.
