Today I filled the gas tank to full. The gauge read about 1/8 tank with a remaining g range of 34, which I am fine with. When I started the vehicle the gauge read the same with 34 DTE reading. I had an hour drive ahead, so I drove along and the fuel gauge crept higher with the DTE staying at 34. By the end of my 56 mike ride, the gauge was almost at full, still lit up in red with 36 DTE. Anyone seen this issue. New 2024 with 810 mi K es.

Did it fix itself after a key cycle?

Yes, we’ve had this once after a fill. I believe it results from disruption of the sensor reading when starting the car.

I tend to pause the key turn to give systems a moment to initiate after refilling, we haven’t seen the symptom again.

It happened to me just once. My previous vehicle (Nissan) did it about once a year too.

Try resetting info system.....hold mute button.

I have done this after a fill up and it gives more accurate range.

Holding mute button does not clear the issue. I have seen another forum that states you have to burn approx. 6 gallons of fuel after the fill up for it to reset. Odd, but that’s all I’ve seen.

Welcome! We purchased our Grenadier 3 weeks ago and the first tank we had was a bit "odd" on DTE (Distance To Empty) was all over the place.

I do pen/paper stuff on every vehicle we own as a perspective.

Second and third fill ups now seem to be more accurate than from the beginning. Now the Fuel gauge reads fine and the DTE is now pretty close.

From our calcs for about 1000 miles....I have about a 15.9 mpg but it varies tank to tank....so I just fill up and know that the tank holds about 24 gallons.

I keep 15 mpg in my head and go with it as a mental guesstimate.

I posted in the MPG thread and on our first tank we literally drove around the state and came home with the LOW fuel alert going.....My rationale was to see just how accurate the gauge and estimates were. So on the first tank it was sooooooo far off it was kind of funny. We drained it as far as comfortable.....and filled it up. From then on there hasnt been an issue.

I hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply. I’m hoping this corrects after this tank is used. I literally show a full tank with 32 miles DTE. (See photo).

Today my fuel gauge returned to normal settings with a reading of 3/4 tank. This is accurate and oddly in the 6 gallons burned range. Dealer says a software update addresses fuel reading issues and needs to be updated.
