Good to hear that you found the problem
@NomadJS . I've lost count of the times I've had an electrical problem which ended up as being a simple fuse.
Unfortunately the airbag warning light will require a trip back to the dealer to reset. The following is from an E-mail sent to me by Ineos Australia earlier in the year when I enquired about disconnection procedures. Note this was before they started fitting the disconnection warning sticker to vehicles so the 15 min wait may not be necessary.
- Allow the vehicle to enter ‘Sleep’ mode (vehicle switched off and systems inactive for at least 15 minutes). Failure to do this will result in:
- Airbag system warnings being displayed and fault codes recorded in the airbag control module.
- The passenger airbag will be automatically deactivated – no manual reactivation is possible.
- Restoring the functions will require a visit to an Ineos service provider.
From various forum posts its also recommended to leave a door or the bonnet open as well while the vehicle is going into sleep mode as opening a door will reawaken the vehicle.
Finally the American owners manual has a disconnection procedure in the maintenance section.
Cheers
