The boot wash only happened on the earlier models. Should be fixed by now.
My VIN (006478) is earlier than many of these who are having the issue. Not sure if they got the updated gasket.

These are West Coast cuts - maybe you got the east coast version?
No cuts in my door seal - no interior waterfall in the front so far but "Houston" we have a problem in the cargo area ... rain from the other weekend -
Ironically the "drip" from the top is in a nearly identical location on both Driver and Passenger side.

Gasket Defect by VIN#:
6478 - NO
6492 - NO
6787 - YES
6999- NO
7198 - YES

The defect doesn't appear to be associated with a run of VINs but on isolated vehicles.

I honestly think there is no defects with the seals. It’s just that the boys and girls on the assembly line haven’t stuck it down properly and it’s poorly designed. Rather than use adhesive tape, they could have used other push in fixings. Easy job to fix, use alcohol wipes to clean the area that’s not stuck down properly (where there is a kink) and use a heat gun to warm up the adhesive tape and stick it back down.

Yep. I just had my passenger side done and it’s fixed now. Fingers crossed it lasts. It’s only been 2 days since I got it back.
What do they do to fix the problem? Sorry if this has been asked and answered already.

I’m sick to death of the water running down the inside of the back doors and dripping on the rear floor when door/s are opened after rain.
Would love to know if anyone has a solution to cure this.
IMO there should have been a mini gutter across the rear (like on the old Defenders) which would prevent this annoying fault.

I picked up my 2nd Gren yesterday. This one has gaskets that are non adherent in spots also. I don't know if boot wash affect occurs, will water test this weekend.

I inspected the 3 showroom cars and the 3 waiting to be delivered and all of them had same issue with the gaskets.

I met and tallked with service manager. He implied the gasket issue is present on most vehicles, most people don't notice it. When brought to shop fir fix they clean area and reattach with a 3M adhesive. For boot wash issue they move a portion of the front gasket area forwrard to create better seal(on front doors).

Also of interest, the new Gren had the tow hitch and new software. The infotainment and controls seemed more responsive (improved).

Service manager said they should start retrofitting tow package and flashing software on early grens in a few weeks.

Mine are being replaced on the 12th Feb so can post an update afterwards
Update on this - I had both front door seals replaced earlier in the week for supposedly newer updated ones - they do not have the half moon in them so I questioned it and was told they were the correct ones.

First heavy rain last night - and guess what - WET FEET - seems I will be getting the scissors out again to self modify these seals!

What a complete waste of time and effort on both the agent and my time.

Oh, and by the way I also have a leaking rear door seal - water runs down the inside of the large rear window
