If I can find a reseller of the studs I will do that. Littelfuse PN 908-067 (M8) and 908-068 (M10).
I will also populate the empty position 5 with an M8 stud.
I have altered the torque thread to reflect these different size studs in the busbars, which will have different torque settings. So far I only have M8 torque settings. EDIT: now found the M6 settings. EDIT2: found M10 torque settings, they are 16Nm±2Nm or 14Nm to 18Nm.

@Clark Kent - Why not avail yourself of the spare 60A cube fuse in the 7 way fuse box?

Whale-oil..
Can't say I saw that the one time I removed the cover on the 7-way.
It's an M8 stud so I shall check it out. Presumably the stud is the same for the 5-way and 7-way. They push out through the bottom of the box once the blue dust cover is removed.
Good steer, thank you.

Let us know if you find a source of replacement studs for the busbar. Try Swe-check. EDIT: The 5 stud at Swe Check only come with M8 studs, based on the description.

Hopefully we can find a source without having to buy a spare busbar.

Swe-Check cannot supply or source spare studs. Per DCPU's post, there is a spare fuse and M8 stud hiding in plain sight in the 7-way block. The studs look simple to fabricate should that be necessary.

Tinki in another thread has said Mouser UK has the M6 studs, but not the M8 or M10.

My search overseas has found nothing when looking for individual studs, so far.

Worse case is to buy a spare 5 stud holder from Swe-Check and have spare M8 studs. Not my preferred option.

If there was sufficient interest I would buy a 5-way block @ A$141 or a 7-way block @ A$196. I'll keep one stud then offload the spares. Each stud would be sold at A$28.00 (block price/studs) plus postage. I would want a pre-commitment with payment later.
I suspect there is fairly low interest and this is probably only economical for Aussie members due to postage costs. The M8 studs don't appear easy to get. This would add a spare M8 stud in your 5-way block for future growth.
I would throw in a green silicon dust cover with each stud sold. Bargain!

Any interest out there?

A generous offer, but as I go remote, I will most likely have to buy a 5 stud holder as a spare. I cannot afford to lose the main battery with a broken fuse holder. Plus it gives me spare M8 studs to use on both of my 5 and 7 stud fuse holders.

Final wiring vehicle/caravan, needed to extend all van cables to reach vehicle sockets.
Redarc brake and van rear view camera cables all via the 13 pin socket.
Nato is powered when vehicle is running and all working well with no errors coming up. No-one is more surprised than me... :D
Car image shows charging whilst other image show current going into Lifepo4 battery of van via van's dc to dc charger. Happy with that.

Nicely done. Making the 10 pin (!) socket workable for our local trailer wiring 'standards' plus adding a service brake circuit is not straightforward. Looks like you've nailed it.

Yes, I'll be towing a caravan so will have the same issue even if they eventually have power to the NATO.

I'm thinking of wiring a new 50A Anderson directly to the starter battery? Has anyone on the forum done this?
Yes I’ve had this done by adventure additions and it works well

The CTALS NATO to Anderson plug adapter is on its way to me. It is a prototype.

I will give feedback and hopefully after that be able to comment publicly. I have seen a photo of an earlier prototype and that looked military grade.

That's great! Hopefully it gets commercialised. The last reports made it sound like they were canning the idea.

Australian update: NATO to Anderson adapter

I have had an Australian Co contact me to work on a solution. I have also contacted my INEOS Dealer to get involved (they are interested). Sorry to be vague, but this only happened yesterday and we are working on details and a NATO to Anderson adapter to test.

They are also working on a Deutsch DTP plug kit customised for INEOS users (I will post info to the Deutsch DTP thread in due course). The CEO asked for some feedback recently so I gave it and the Co. followed up on both matters!
Hi TheDOCAUS did you get anywhere on this for a NATO to Anderson solution? I ended up getting the cats grenadier kit https://www.ctals.com.au/products/d...aux-power-w-crimp-tool?variant=43882158326019 for Deutsch plugs.

Sounds like CTALS have sorted something out. The last time I spoke to them on this subject they were keen to do an adapter but were hesitant on the commercial side.

The technical part was do-able. The challenge to bringing a product to market and supporting it was for the purpose of suppling power to a 50A Anderson plug, they would need to include a replacement label for the 500A switch and a replacement fuse to de-rate the circuit. But, how do CTALS ensure the customer does the label and fuse swap? Doing this mod yourself and accepting responsibility for whatever goes wrong is different to a business selling you a plug and play kit that permits you to supply 12VDC with 350A potential to a 50A rated Anderson with no guarantee of circuit protection on the trailer/load side.

CTALS saw that as a business liability on them and were having to consider circuit protection within the adapter to ensure the adapter and supplied load is protected if the customer doesn't de-rate the NATO circuit upstream.
I'll be interested to see the prototype and feedback from @TheDocAUS

Great stuff, thanks for the update @TheDocAUS.

PIty I just placed a order with them for all the parts on Monday. But I could be tempted to buy a second one, particularly if my plan for an in-line 50 amp maxi fuse doesn’t work.

Cheers
Steve
