Red letter A

Hi,

Please can anyone who has successfully changed the “A” on the bonnet and rear door to red - let me know the best way, I can’t imagine getting a good enough finish with paint, is an adhesive vinyl an option? This would be so good to be incorporated into the build, to highlight the Grenadier logo.

We both had the same idea ! I managed it with vinyl and a good online printers please see the attached photos of the rear door and let me know what you think?

I have one spare so if you want it I can send it to you. As regards the one on the bonnet hadn't thought but might well give it a go

If there is enough interest I could get a batch made up and do them at cost to members

Would you be amenable to sharing the drawing/dims you used to order it, the colour (RAL?) and the name of the on line printer? A cheeky request of mine so absolutely no problem or offence taken if not

That looks really great - thanks for the offer, a pal has a signage company and they are going to have a look at doing the rear door, bonnet and wheel cover (the lockable storage one), I will be in touch! Cheers, John

I used a firm called Diginate.com online ( https://diginate.com/) it cost £17.60 for 3 stickers incl postage and I designed it online using their design tool ( I'm not experienced so it must have been easy!) I just used the standard red which looked very close, I did research the Ineos colours (https://www.ineos.com/globalassets/...oad-2020/30582_ineos_brand_guidelines_v14.pdf) off their brand site and it appeared to be RGB 213/43/30 whatever than means - but it looked very close to the standard red at Diginate!

If you go to Diginate the design was saved as Grenadier and the order number was D84827 the decal comes pre cut and it fits. You have my blessing to see if you can get a repeat of the design

Hi Start, I have been in touch with Clive at Diginate - he dropped the order into the “basket” for me but this is 3 x the same size “A”, he says “The order Stuart placed D84827 was for just 3 of the same design. It’s the only item he ordered”, with you referring to 3, I assumed this was bonnet, back door and rear wheel cover - have I got my wires crossed? Thanks, John

I fancy similar but in a lighter shade of grey or perhaps, silver to go with my DG Grenadier. The red looks good but currently thinking of something more subtle.
Had to edit my comment to say the red looks really good also. Can't make up my mind now.

Hi Stuart, I opened an account but couldn’t see your files, I then emailed them and Clive got back to me, he said the attached one is the only file, has he missed the other tso or are they on another order number? Cheers, John

Love the good R&D here. I plan to do the same for the rear door and hood ^, but will be using the official Crimson color for the University of Alabama (Roll Tide):

I think it will look good with my vehicle choice of Scottish White. A Michigan Wolverine fan should do the school Maize yellow with a Britannia Blue Gren.
