Da mich das Thema „Höhe AHK“ nicht losläßt folgende Bitte:

kann mal jemand die Maße des einschubs verifizieren?
incl. Position und Größe Querverriegelung.

ich würde mir gerne eine alternative AHK besorgen, z.B. gibts von Brink da einiges mit verschiedenen Höhen zum einschieben.

@bemax ich sehe Du benutzt deine Anhängerkupplung fleissig. Fettest Du die Kugel ?

Ich habe jetzt etwas Fluid Film als Schutz draufgemacht. Ansonsten bin ich da ziemlich entspannt.

schwierige Frage.
ich lese da 52/52 mm, was ich im Netz so finde spricht von 50/50 mm.
evtl noch das Maß der querverriegelung von vorne!?

Da ist halt etwas Luft für den Einschub. Vielleicht sind es zwei Zoll plus Spiel. Jedenfalls dürfte das Maß eindeutig sein, ich glaube nämlich nicht, dass es 50,51,52 mm Einschübe gibt - sondern 50 mm oder eindeutig kleiner oder größer.

Das ist eine Aufnahme für einen 2 Zoll Standard-US-Einschub, also ca. 51 mm.

Bin ich eigentlich der einzige der ein Problem mit der Höhe der AHK hat?
der G wird bei mir hauptsächlich zugfahrzeug für 2 Achs Trailer sein.
es müßte doch eine Alternative, in D zugelassene AHK geben mit der richtigen Höhe!
bzw interessant wäre mal wie sich der Grenadier mit zuladung und stütztest verhält!
wieviel federt er ein?
hat das schon mal jemand getestet?

I ordered the original hitch intended for Germany. the car won't be delivered until next month.
i have a 2.8t brian james car trailer and a 3.5t tipper trailer that i want to move with the car

The height of the trailer hitch should be approx. 40 cm when it is coupled - the upper point of the towing head. otherwise the load on the rear axle of the trailer will be too high for long journeys > 500 km

Yes the original hitch is no good for your purpose.

I've got a 3.5t Brian James cargo connect trailer. 5m with tilting bed. Whilst the Euro type approved hitch receiver is higher than the Dixon Bate drop hitch I was using on my old Defender, it's way better than the one you spec'd.

You could speak to your agent and see if they can swap hitches for the new type prior to deliver?. I wouldn't be surprised if the costs are equivalent.

The original one is only going to end up as an expensive paperweight, so really any money you can get out of it should be better perhaps?

Edit: I think there may have been a price increase to £169.22 + VAT as that's what a couple of other forum members have paid more recently.

No you are not the only one with the problem.
It works somehow but its not the best solution. And it might no be always possible to lift the coupling of the trailer on the hook.
For me it is actually quite hard.

Schreib doch deutsch, ist lokales Problem im lokalen Teil.
bei Amazon sche8nts ja einiges mit einschub zu g3ben, aber inwieweit tüv/Versicherung da mitmacht muß man wohl klären.

ich hab die Höhenverstellung von Dixon Bate/Bradley/ALKO mit E-Nummer dran. Statt der 4 x M16 hab ich halt 2 x M16 und 4xM12 verschraubt (die original AHK bleibt trotzdem mit den 2 x M16 am Schlitten verschraubt - "Thema schwächstes Glied der Kette").
Am Montag hab ich einen Termin beim TÜV Süd, der sich das mal ansieht. Laut telefonischer Vorabauskunft sollte einer Eintragung nichts im Wege stehen. Dann ist es legal und die Versicherung kann auch kein Problem damit haben. Ich wäre auch ohne Eintragung damit gefahren, aber zu viele Leute haben mächtig Angst davor und haben mich auch ganz wuschig gemacht!
Ich werde berichten!
