I just finished a three week Scotland tour with 6100 km (3800 miles ) and my battery charged every day back to 100% according to the system. I also had a fridge (Dometic CFX35) running the whole time (also overnight and when parker).

My IG is now sitting back in the garage for 2 days without moving. I will check the next days what the battery says (fridge is off course off).

Thank you @Lyros ...good information! Do you have the optional second battery installed with the Smartpass120s? If so, can you advise pls whether the red "Smart alternator" signal wire on the SmartPass is connected or has been left unattached?

I have the secondary battery installed. Today I also checked the car again after 3,5 days. Battery level dropped to 93% according to the system.

I also had a look at the Smartpass and it seems that “Smart alternator” is not connected if I’m not wrong!?

whether they correspond.
As well, you could measure the main battery voltage with a multimeter either with the engine cold or say 10 mins after shutting it down, and compare that with the screen readouts.
10 minutes is too short. The chemical processes are longer active. Wait an hour.

So my battery was at 94% after not using the vehicle for 5days. Was at 97% after an 86mile drive and now 100% after having the Victron smart charger connected overnight

Haven't seen the magic 100% reported from just driving, diesel? How many hours driving per day was there on avg? And was the fridge using the 12v socket in the boot? Do you charge at home while parked?

I have a diesel. We drove on average around 4 hours daily (couple of stops in-between). The fridge was indeed connected to the 12v socket in the boot. Until now I haven’t charged the car once while parked.

You could always move somewhere else to live.
It’s tempting May be even back to Malawi or permanently travel and follow the weather. That’s what we’re thinking. Let’s see how our six month travels go with the Grenadier. Then we decide whether to wrap up , pack up and f—ck off around the world

My great grandfather on fathers side moved from Scotland to Toowoomba in Queensland Australia back in the late 1800's
Great Grandfather on mothers side moved from Wales to Wollongong in the late 1800's
Just under 1,000 kms apart.
Wollongong is in the State of New South Wales so only fitting

At some point a tour of Australia in our Grenadier is on the cards. Probably while it’s still in its 5 year unlimited mileage warranty.

Ah, 4 hrs would do it. You might find if only doing shorter drives the starter will start to lose ground and you might need the 250SE to assist, that is if you have the Smartpass and aux battery optioned.

I have the Noco boost GB70 which is more than powerful enough for the Grenadier and I have used it to help stranded motorists and boats and tractors. Stop start compatible
