Ravenol, a Greman brand, has an LL12 Oil with a BMW clearance. Ravenol is not a reseller but runs it's own labs to develop oils of many kind. They have an excellent reputation.

Here's another one, although I haven't checked to see if it meets all the requirements. At least it has BMW LL-12.

This is also an oil which could be used for the diesel.
Meguin is a very old oil company. They have been producing the oils for Liqui Moly for years

I had noticed the same sticker in your picture on my own diesel Grenadier. However, to date, I haven’t managed to find a Petronas blend that meets BMW LL-12FE specification.

Having worked through the fact sheets from Petronas , the closest I could find is 5W-30, meeting BMW LL-04 specification (see below). To date, I haven’t managed to find any Petronas 0w-30 that meets any BMW specification. May be I’m not looking in the right place?

Is it OK to top up with BMW LL-04 specification, or is it better to use LL-12FE specification from an alternate manufacturer - such as Motul or Fuchs?

But in summary many of the spec sheets for the BMW spec oil state they are NOT suitable for multi turbo engines. We have a multi turbo engine...

If you dig a layer deeper does it have anything to say regarding use of this oil in engines with more than one turbo?

According to the ExxonMobil UK and Ireland website this version of Mobil 1 has BMW LL 12 FE approval.

That is the discrepancy in INEOS' recommendation. No BMW LL 12 FE oil is approved for multi turbo engines. Then why are they dictating it? There should be a clear statement from INEOS about this matter.

The Ravenol spec pdf says

RAVENOL FES SAE 0W-30 is a PAO (Polyalphaolefin) based, full

and in the Application Note

RAVENOL FES SAE 0W-30 is a universal fuel economy, especially
designed engine oil for modern gasoline and diesel engines with and
without turbo charger in passenger cars and vans with extended oil change
intervals of BMW, PSA, FIAT, IVECO and Jaguar Land Rover. Extends the
lifespan of the particle filter.

There is no talk about twin turbos, neither including nor excluding them.

For the Gasoline it is easy, there is a wide range of BMW classified Oils 0W20 following LL17 FE…. you can choose between a lot of brands….. one more reason for me to choose gasoline instead of Diesel, engine is more simple.

And once you know where to look, it's rather obvious, it does help to move a small flexible coolant hose out of the way:

In all it's glory. It's all plastic (although the letters/numbers below might identify the exact material) and the rod has the feel of fibreglass:

And yes, I tried to take a reading but it's not that clear to read, other than yes, there's oil in there.
