What do you mean Bob?The times they are a changing, ~ could have swore somebody else said that!
I'd guess that's a BMW "limitation" and one that Ineos could not have made happen (if indeed there is no DS). It seems though, to go against the ethos of the vehicle. In my BMW‘s with inline six ( Petrol) is novaii dipstick.
you have to check oil with the info system.
The whole motor (both) is against the ethos of the car, but is in line with the ethos of new legislation in many countries. If the motor is reliable, I don't care too much.I'd guess that's a BMW "limitation" and one that Ineos could not have made happen (if indeed there is no DS). Spoken like someone who's never owned a Land Rover"If there were no alarms when I parked it, there is a really good chance that it will still have oil in it when I get going again."
170 hp?I just did some research, the first BMW was a 525 with carburettor and 4-speed manual transmission in 1982
That's not necessarily the sign of quality it used to be:Must say, have in the last 35 years a lot of BMW‘s with inline six, Diesel and Petrol, never have to fill up oil between the inspections
From 2019 and I wonder if someone was maybe playing with the engine to get more power?
I haven't bought a diesel since they installed the DPF.
Where does one get one of these? If you dont already have one, buy yourself a MiniVac for oil changes. You can suck the oil straight through the dipstick holder, this is how BMW changes the oil.

Auto dipstick? In the latest ineos Video in australia you can see the oil check with dip stick

Christian might describe that spec as "dumb-ass" Unless perhaps the vehicle is to be operated in arctic-type extremes....Cripes 0-20!
