Simple question. Anyone know what RPM the car turns at 100kph?
A more appropriate answer might be probably not mate as no one that we are aware of on the forum has driven it on the road properly yet.
And assuming you were talking about cruising on the highway in top gear without too many other variables as I took your question to mean.
Unless one of the dealers present has an idea.

That would depend on what configuration you have, how loaded the vehicle is, what tyres/wheels you have, what gear you are in, wind, uphill/flat/downhill.
Sorry.. was thinking old school. My defender on standard tyres sits on 2500rpm at 100. Those revs make it less than pleasant. Especially for like 3000k :(

That's interesting. I thought someone would have. We have so many unknowns still.

Not a simple answer though...a BMW dealer might be able to give you figures on the, I think X5 models had a B57 with the ZF gearbox, it would be a rough idea... that is if you were wondering about a diesel that will differ from petrol.

I have driven on tar closed track around bends and in straight line p to about 85/90 kmh and it was extremely good.
That was a diesel.
In theory you could calculate the rpm at 100kmh, it will be different for diesel and petrol of course.
My current vehicle sits on around 1500rpm at 100kmh on the highway
Higher revs at a given speed is usually annoying because of the NVH levels and fuel consumption.
Given 8 speed gearboxes I would guess neither would be doing more than 2,000 rpm but just a guess.

It of course depends on the engine. I presume that this one is a petrol one, because the scale goes over 7000 RPM.
It should be around 1800-1900 RPM at 100 km/h in 8th gear.

which it probably is, making allowance for parallax error ...and every 100rpm equates to approx 6 km/hr (based on the previous photo of the dashboard in the vehicle in Namibia ...rough estimate 136km/hr @2300rpm approx 59km/hr/1000rpm)...so 100km/hr is approx 1700rpm
