Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference for me. I got tired of my glasses going flying when I make a turn, so put on a piece of shelf liner and since there are no cup holders in the back and didn't want to put something there permanently, picked up this little removable cup holder for our roadtrip a couple weeks ago.

I wish there was a way to get the dash mat (and center console mat) that was in the PTO2 trucks... it was a much stickier compound that held everything in place... 25°+ of roll and the phone wouldn't move. I made the mistake when I bought my truck of tossing my phone on the dash and making the left turn off the dealer lot it went flying across the dash

Some recent modifications I've done to my Utility Trialmaster with help from Expedition Centre in Sydney AUS. I'm converting my Grenny to be my full-time adventure camper. I can add pictures later if anyone is interested, let me know?

• Replaced the stock steel battery box with a custom light-weight aluminium version (20 kg lighter)
  • Instead of one lid, this box has two lids that pivot from the outside towards the middle (rather than one lid opening rear to front). This allows me to access either side of the box to service the stock or aux power systems independently. This in turn allows me to be more flexible with storage on top of the box.
  • Maintained the stock electronic setup on the left, minus one of the stock batteries (saved 28 kg)
  • Added on the right side: 280ah lithium auxiliary battery, the new redarc alpha charger, 2000w inverter for 240 volts, plus all the wiring, fuses etc
  • The redarc alpha charger has a feature that enables me to feed the starter battery with the auxiliary battery in case it has lost all charge, hence I could remove one of the stock batteries to save space and weight.
  • Rewired all roof power points to the Aux battery so I can run camping lights without impacting the starter battery charge.
  • Installed 430 watts flexible solar on the roof (glued) to feed the 280ah lithium
• Installed a 60L stainless steel water tank, inside a storage cabinet, in the rear cargo space. This includes a water tap and quick-fit water outlet (for shower hose) at the rear door, powered by a water pump.
• Storage/water cabinet has a fold down table, next to the water outlets, where I have a single burner induction cooker.
• Simarine display to monitor water and battery levels.
• ARB twin air compressor under driver seat.
• 270 degree freestanding awning.

This has been an investment but it all works fantastically and I couldn't be happier with the results. There are a few things I'll be adding to this in the (near) future in terms of internal storage solutions, but I'm building as I go to keep it as simple and minimal as possible. I go on regular trips to trial and test before installing anything new.

A while ago I installed a Baja Design Dome Light on the upper cargo door latch and hard wired it to the aux battery. This gives my wife and I more light for cooking when it gets dark.


It worked really well on our last Mojave Rd trip:


However, when using the table... we had a shadow which was a bit annoying. So I installed a second dome light on the trim above the rear window.

There is a special useful place for sunglasses on the steering column in front of the wheel
Now you can store two pairs!

My windscreen looked like that and when they washed and polished it to apply a protective film they discovered over 40 tiny rock chips

Installed the lovely button to disable engine stop/start. Works amazing!

And I installed the guard for the ceiling mounted switched. 3D printed stl from the Grenadier shared resources section here in the forum. Printed in super fine with a 0.2um nozzle. Great results.

Wait til summer! With global warming , everything will get lusher and critters bigger , as they did back in the day.
Gonna need a thicker screen!

With just over 1500 miles driven since yesterday morning, I feel you on the insect deaths... This is ridiculous. Also yesterday morning was the perfect time for my driver's side washer nozzle to decide it has reached the end of its life

Living in Houston, there is a great deal of humidity and pollutants in the air. I always forget to close the Air-conditioning recirculation switch. So I used a clever idea and it works flawlessly. I'm fine with the Auto Start Stop feature doing its thing. I wouldn't be without it.

With just over 1500 miles driven since yesterday morning, I feel you on the insect deaths... This is ridiculous. Also yesterday morning was the perfect time for my driver's side washer nozzle to decide it has reached the end of its life

I keep a trigger bottle of windscreen cleaner and a windscreen brush in the lockable wheel box. Very handy for a quick cleanup during short stops. I found a tool with enough handle to reach the centre of the windscreen. The handle is too long to fit in the wheel box so it unscrews and stows in a pocket on the back of my M&M rear seat cover.

I have the same
On long drives it is good as a bit of a stretch and exercise when I take my break every 2-3 hours.

Did you end up finding power for your back door light behind the trim panel or did you run that to the auxiliary battery?
