BVT - What have you done about the TPMS? Have you got your sensors cloned or just get them swapped over? I see you've written "right (I assume rear)" on the one in the photo. Thanks

Yeah a set of universal sensors fitted to the new wheels and cloned from the originals, worked perfectly. Only issue is I need to make sure the correct wheel goes back on the correct corner, though even that isn’t really the end of the world.

Did your tyre fitters clone them BVT or is it a simple process to DIY?

My mobile tyre guy did it using his machine. If I had to do it every time I swapped the wheels I’d buy one myself but it would appear it only needs done once.

It cost me £100 for the 4x sensors and £64 to swap and balance the four tyres and code the sensors. If anyone wants his details let me know, great guy, I’ve been using him for a few years. Based in Inverurie but travels around the western ‘shire.

Good stuff! I ordered up those alloys I mentioned today but they are on a long lead time ( January) so I’ll get your mobile guys number once they arrive 👍

😂😂

Fresh Snow is fine it’s the hard packed skitey stuff and heavy frost/ice that they struggle with. I was out in mine on the AT’s yesterday, lowered the pressures a bit and she was fine.

But today i swapped these on:

What wheels have you gone for? I've seen a few Queens red with bronze alloys and they look mint.

Decided on Rogue LCX 17inch wheels in shadow silver. I definitely would’ve opted for bronze but it doesn’t appear as an option for the 17s.

I see what you mean. They do look a lot like compomotive or speedline rally wheels, look great. You could always get them powder coated a different colour if you really want? We use TWS in Dyce for that kind of stuff, just did some Honda civic type r wheels in a sort of dark bronze for my sons swift and they always do a good job.

That’s a nice swift without the snow on it! I’ve asked Rogue if they can offer bronze as an option. If not, I’ll see what the shadow silver looks like and I can certainly have them resprayed if needed.

That looks like a useful light on the roof rail. Can you share details please?
I bought one for each side in amber ( mainly for camping trips) from Stedi UK. Here’s the link:
