I was told by a friend who has an Inky Fieldmaster and does a lot of work with Petroineos, Big Jim has offered senior staff a cracking deal on a Grenadier, we might see a few more floating about the Falkirk area if that is correct.

Up to Inverness last Friday 4th,, Orkney on Saturday 5th - crossed back Friday the 11th to Gills Bay, Inverness for two days and back to Aberdeen this afternoon and saw my first Grenny coming into Drumoak (Queens Red). I was in my Donny Grey. Still not many about.
That was my wife out and about today!

Hi @Julian did I pass you in Dumbarton tonight, inky black with led bars for the centre lights ?
Looking very smart, I was in my Ford Kuga so no chance you noticed me 😂

Definately worth the trip up to meet you all (including one of you I last saw 41 years ago). Good to see that each car has had a few farkles fitted to suit the owners hobbies and lifestyles. I also managed to fit some Cullen Skink in for lunch and a trip to G and L Marshall on the way up.

Who would have guessed, from classroom to muddy carpark in Cullen with 41 years in between - good to catch up again! I wasn't expecting that when I headed off this morning. Let me know how you get on with that Norton test ride...

Stuff wot I learned today, having poked around a few other Grenadiers (a rare thing up here).

1. Both Queens red and Britannia blue are much, much nicer in the metal than in pics or on the configurator
2. The saddle leather is lovely, it’s the only thing I had on my wish list that I didn’t actually get on my Grenadier. Bugger.
3. Sorry chaps but the steel wheels still look better 😉
4. I want to change the driving lights
5. Grenadier owners are nice folk

Hi @Mitchell300, no wasn't me, I was out yesterday in my other vehicle with a BMW 3L 6cyl turbo diesel and ZF gearbox :)
I suspect you saw Morton, his is black and has these lights
Mine is Sela Green. Do you live nearby?

Glad you liked the Saddle Leather. A set of Steelies would be great and will be keeping my eyes out for a set with decent tyres (but disappointed to hear they are not great on the ice)

Keep an eye on eBay, they do pop up now and again but you have to be quick. Think my spare set of four steelies (with unused Bridgestones) were £450 and cost me £50 to courier.

If anyone local wants four Bridgestone AT’s let me know, free to a good home. 👍

The BFG AT’s, I’ve written about this before actually. Had them on a few vehicles and they’re great on road, fresh snow, wet grass, mud and rough tracks but really pretty poor on ice, hard packed snow or even really frosty roads. Dreadful things.

Even MT’s are better on ice (I’ve used Toyo Open Country, Kumho KL71 and BFG MT and those have all been much better than the BFG AT). Weird.
