Following a couple of great days out last year I’m going to lead another non-scratchy green laning day out in the Yorkshire Dales on Friday 11th April just for Grenadiers. Everywhere we go will be suitable for Fieldmasters with road-biased tyres, although A/T tyres are preferred. As much as possible I’ll pick routes that won’t attack the paintwork, but I can’t guarantee it. There may be a few fords to cross, but nothing deep or prolonged.

No previous experience required, just a taxed and insured Grenadier. Everywhere we go is technically on a road. If you break down then we’ll do our best to get you back to tarmac for your recovery service to pick you up. Bring a pack-up to keep you going during the day, and a camera to capture some amazing views. If you’ve got a CB radio (or a programmable PMR) so we can communicate from vehicle to vehicle that is always a bonus, .

I’ll lead the day in accordance with GLASS code of conduct, driving at no more than 12mph on unsurfaced roads, and being courteous to all other road users. I take no responsibility for the safety of you, your passengers or your vehicle, I’m simply sharing my hobby with other like-minded people.

Maximum 6 vehicles. If you want to come along please reply to this thread, but I’ll also be spreading the word in other forums so I’ll let you know as soon as the list is full. I’ll sort out a route and let attendees know where to meet. It will be a full day out.

Hi Mr Cross Hills, You can put me down for attendence, if I may.

As of this minute it does not look like my Grenadier will be fixed in time for the 11/04/2025. It is due at Chandlers on the 25/02/2025 and no one can give me an estimate of the likely fix date. (As you can see elsewhere on the forum, I've drowned it).
Hope they can fix it for you. Will you be getting a Raised Air Intake fitted - just in case it would help keep water out if circumstances repeated themselves? Or will you be avoiding flood waters in future? It seemed like such bad luck - had the water been flowing in the opposite direction, I don’t think water would have entered the air intake. Good luck with getting it fixed - the people at Chandlers, Belton are 1st Class.

Hi, I live near Stokesley, if you do this again, I am interested! We must share the same great dealer - Denton at Skipton, who are excellent! Cheers, John
