Had the Wolfbox G900 Pro with 67 Designs mount professionally installed and thought others in the upstate NY/Albany area might benefit from our experience.
The work was done at Boomer McLoud on Central Ave in Albany which has been around for a long time. We were quoted $300 for the job which we felt was fair. It ended up taking longer than they anticipated but they honored the quote. A friend is bringing her Grenadier to them for the same work in a couple of weeks and they are giving her the same rate. They got the learning curve of the install out of the way with us and we are very happy with the results.
We got the package that included the hardwire kit and polarizing lens attachment for the front camera. We also ordered the 33’ rear camera replacement cable. We had them hardwire it to an ignition tap in the fuse box by the steering wheel so it powers on/off with the key. With this it also powers up from the power button on the mirror without turning the key as long as the Grenadier is “awake.” The GPS puck is above the overhead panel and works perfectly there.
We mounted the camera in the same spot that’s been highlighted in a few of the installation videos, inside at the top of the large rear window as far to the left edge (when facing the closed door) as was possible. As has been noted, the sticky tape that comes with the Wolfbox to mount the rear camera is useless - we used a small screw to mount it.
