I'm in process of installing mine and curious where everyone is wiring the actual mirror too? Which fuses etc? The ones I see connect it to a switch just makes it another button to hit and I have zero interest in that. I'd like to connect by piggy fuse too a ACC or Start fuse just haven't had time to dive into that portion yet.
I used the footwell wiring that is connected to the overhead switch panel and then used the fuse jumper that comes with the wiring kit in the fuse panel beside the steering wheel. It is easy to run the wire under the trim below the steering wheel across to join the power wire and run both up the A pillar. I did the install myself it’s not overall hard, the only bits that caused swearing were reinstalling the INEOS rear door table which is way more fiddly than it has any right to be and heavy. And the hardest bit I found was getting the wires through the rubber boot between the body and the door.

Only concern with an independent shop doing the work is the number of panel clips or retainers which get broke in the process and you’ll never know about. It all depends on the shop of course and many pride themselves on their work and are extremely professional. I guess that’s the same risk you run doing it yourself with the only difference being you are less likely to be in a rush and break things. You can be more methodical as you typically won’t but be up against the clock to get another job done.
Haha i usually agree with this sentiment but today I got a wire fish irretrievably caught in the body behind a taillight, to the point i had to just snip it as short as I could because i couldnt free it no matter what I did. So sometimes owners are dumb and break things too 🤷‍♂️

I ended up piggy backing to the cigarette power fuse next to the wheel, sine they are both 15amp fuses I just made most sense too me. It only comes on with key switched too.

Will wolfbox work with just ACC hardwired (and not an always on fuse)? I really don't want the parking feature potentially draining the battery no matter how low power it's claimed to be.
No it will not work without that as well. If you have the hardwire kit. But all you need to do is wire the ACC and BCC together. It will work as intended ignition on and powers up.
