Hi all, my winch is not working.
I'm doing everything the manual says to do and t was working at the agents when I picked it up. I've tried everything.
The only thing that I can think I did wrong was try to pair it again when it was already paired.
I have the green light on the remote, engine on, in neutral, 500A switch on.
No banana!

At least it's in my shed but I have a long length of rope hanging out and can't get it back in!

Can you hear the solenoid switch click with the engine running?

I can hear the solenoid in the back when I switch the 500A circuit on and it's in Neutral.
It's the one in the front you want to click.
The rear one activates the NATO socket.
Listen carefully.

Mmm! I don't recall hearing one in the front, but the engine was running. I'll have to go and see. Which side of the engine is it?
I suppose down by the positive terminal eh?

Yes. Get a friend to flick the switch.

Hi Wile E Coyote although I don't have a winch, the connection cables for this are under the panelling of the right front mudguard on my LHD. I would assume that the relay is also located there.

Cool, I'll have to wait till the wife gets home.
You could also activate the video function on your smartphone and place it on the front wheel or in the bumper. You may be able to hear the relay switching. It would be worth a try.

I tried the video on top of the tyre and it seems the relay is switching.
I think (hope) it's a remote thing.
I tried taking the batteries out and putting them back in today but it was still showing synched with a green light on the remote.
I have now taken the batteries out and will leave them out overnight. I'm hoping that will reset it to be synched again in the morning.
We'll see...

Is the transmission in Neutral? If it is in Park, it will be switched off. The transmission automatically shifts to Park if your seat belt is off and the door is opened unless you are in Off-Road mode.

Yes, I'm in Neutral.

I left the batteries out of the remote overnight and when I put them back in and tried it this morning, it was still a green led on the remote and still wasn't working.
It is going to have to be sorted by the agent, I'm not sure what else to do.

How did this work out and were you able to get the winch to operate as I have the same problem right now with my new Grenadier.

Hi ShootingCar, I did get it working by taking the headlight out to get to the control module and pushing the lugs back into position at the bottom.
It worked for me but others have tried and this hasn't worked.
Maybe get the dealer to have a look.
