What did you do with your Grenadier today?

some sprayers like my fj60 would have worked nice. I swapped those to JWSpeakers when they first came out, and I use the fluid enough I never noticed this, and that front end is quite the brick. Its an LED thing. Are any car companies heating the leds?

What do you think about this? Haven’t heard anything about them

Just wondering, do you think a light bar behind the grille (like Owl‘s hidden lightbar) would be a feasible solution? Snow-wise it would appear so at least from the picture, however, it won‘t be feasible to drive in traffic with additional 21k lumen.

Yea, honestly, I've never much had a use for 14 million lumens cranking from every angle. A set of reproduction 1950's driving lamps using a hella halogen like you'd you'd toss on an MG, is all I think I'm going to set up for the front end specifically for winter driving.

I was just looking for that - you read my mind. Are they 8”? I was also looking at heated options at JW Speaker - also 7”.

I think they are, as this is sort of a rehash of last winter, and I believe this was discussed. I seem to recall 8".

I think this is intended to mimic the classic 7", and isn't anything like the classic 7", so I wouldn't count on any makers.

Maybe mount some Hella 500's and put them on a switch and take them off after winter. 55w halogen ought to work for sufficient light and melt ice .

Spent the weekend with a camp in the snowys and a toy to bring home. Tested my rear locker on a very steep hill (forgot to use the altimeter) and HDC, what a beautiful thing that is to use. Set up it's nearly where I need it, just need to optimise shelving a little better.

I cleaned up the wiring for my dimmer switch i built for my roof rack lights.
I also wired in the starlink to a permanent mount on the roof rack. I fought and fought with that all afternoon.
It was erratic, sometimes it worked great other times i just had no power to the starlink.

In the end i started suspecting that the cable from @DVA Mechanics had issues. It seems to be position and vibration dependent, and i think its the plug that goes into starlink that made a partial connection that was sensitive to the vibration. I ended up sacrificing a cigarette lighter cable that i had and put a Deutch connector on it. After that it worked perfectly. I probably had 2 hours of debugging into it by then. Painful...

I got the sides done and i got the wiring cleaned up.

Happy camper now. Just the last little bit of wiring for the rear lightbar and i'm done.

Baron Bigglesworth just got ducked in the parking lot. 4 Wranglers within 30’ of me at the grocery store - no way of telling who the sonofagun was who defiled my Grenadier

Amendment - and now there is a cybertruck parked across the street from my house - guy visiting his parents. This is going to be one of those weeks. I think I feel a touch of the Black Death coming on.

I have been thinking about this very serious problem and have come to the conclusion that we would need to leave little red devils on the Jeeps, if they are a Liverpool, Manchester City or non-Manchester united supporter it could be even more infuriating?

Went snow driving in boulder. Was -11F. Unlocked center on Nokkian Hakkepelita LT3s, 285/70r17 @30 PSI. Was by far the most stable snow driving I've ever had (prior cars were F150, LC100, Tundra 5.7).

These snow tires are a real, significant improvement over the k02s.

For sure, which is why I bought dedicated snow tires, but I meant it more as a PSA about getting real snow tires.

For those who haven't done this or are thinking about it, on 17s, the 285/70r17 is the largest you can get a dedicated snow tire, and that is why I opted to not go to a bigger summer tire. I know 34s would be nice on the trails, but I want a consistent size summer to winter.

Back to the correct use of the thread, I'm putting a light on my ladder so that I can see better when reversing in the dark. Not sure what I have done wrong but the light worked on testing but not when fitted. I make sure the wires are correct with fitted aux plugs but out of interest, does that matter with LED lights?
