But maybe too much insulation. Will be hard to find a good spot in the engine bay to put the meat, exposed to enough heat, and without risk to lose your dinner on the road....The B58 is hot enough!

I do like it provides a little extra protection, right there
Looking great! What’ve you got where the rear seat would normally be? More storage?GRENADIER DRAWERS, WIND AND WATER
I picked up the car this morning. I looked at my car and the other Grenadier being worked on. Very different builds and requirements, but excellent work on both. The other car had a false floor to fit the Lithium auxiliary battery, single drawer, fridge slide, Roo bar lightbar and work lights on the sides and back (Rok 3 work lights by Perception lighting).
The upside of letting my car being used for a photo session are some images I can post here (with permission).
I talked Offroad Systems (ORS) into joining the forum as a supporting vendor. ORS has dealers in most States of Australia. One drawer set and fridge slide was all wrapped up on a pallet about to go off to Western Australia. ORS specialise in custom work. I had ORS drawers and a water tank in the Patrol for 12 years - they are Outback proven and corrugation proof.
I described some of the work done on the car above, but I will let the images do the talking now. The moveable drawer dividers are not shown in the images. Enjoy:

That looks like fine quality. Also like where you/they've placed the twin compressor.GRENADIER DRAWERS, WIND AND WATER

Bed extension, seen here. Yes more storage.Looking great! What’ve you got where the rear seat would normally be? More storage?
It’s the usual super work by ORS. Good people!Bed extension, seen here. Yes more storage.

We worked together on that. Only twins available were ARB Portable twin compressors. So ORS took it out of the case and mounted it there, with a custom mount they made. The mount is secured into the tie down points on the side wall. ORS removed the INEOS tie down rings and bolted in the mount.That looks like fine quality. Also like where you/they've placed the twin compressor.
Looks really good. Great work. It's nice to follow this documentary. Thanks.We worked together on that. Only twins available were ARB Portable twin compressors. I wanted air circulation around the compressor, hence the position. It was a cleaner less cluttered fit on the driver's side than the passenger's side (RHD). You see the power outlets on the passenger's side.
The On/Off switch and hose connector are within easy reach of the rear doors. We did a test before making the mount.
Maybe this one too.I haven’t added these yet (need to think it out and find a few days without rain) but check out these fun stickers I got on Redbubble. I don’t know if the “Achievement Unlocked” is from a video game or something (I don't recognize the symbol nor did two of my nerdiest students, so it might just be made up), but I think it’s perfect for those who have waited so long to get their trucks.
All we saw here was some 'ripped' old fella!My day off. Or should I say "off" , for usually it involves much physical labour.
I am adopting @Logsplitter screen name for this afternoon's activity.
Often I go at it with an axe or blocksplitter , but I had accumulated a pile of gnarly hard gum and wattle logs , many with branches.
Impossible to split by hand (I'm a senior after all) so I called in the cavalry. Even my wife had a go. She is also strong on plough.

Very nice . The first kit out of a two seater utility wagon. That’s given me some ideas for mine.GRENADIER DRAWERS, WIND AND WATER

Thankyou so much.Logsplitter
A couple of extra points that may help.
Ask if I can help with anything else, you have done so much to help us on the forum.
- Aluminum drawers, not steel to save on weight;
- Double runners on drawers, as insurance against damage by corrugations (I know it works as my Patrol had the same for 12 years and it survived many, many corrugations);
- Removable bed extension, so I can access the battery box. Brackets on the cargo barrier for the bed extension, do not impede opening the battery box lid;
- Double drawers rather than a drawer/fridge slide combination, as I mount my fridge on the front passenger seat – not an option for most people;
- After seeing @globalgregors build I went for the deeper drawers, but the main reason was to give me more storage under the bed extension, an added benefit was more drawer space. Very happy with the results;
- I may yet cut out part of the cargo barrier to allow me access to the rear between the two front seats;
- Drawer dividers not shown in the images, but they are important to have if the drawers are not full, to avoid things sliding all over the place. They just fit in where you place them;
- I did a lot of electrical work before the fitout, as the trim is now hard to remove in the rear (Dashcam, Anti Rust system wiring, Anderson plugs x 4 (including two solar plugs), Redarc TowPro, etc.); and
- I am pleased with the position of the twin air compressor. It was going to be wired to the spare stud on the 7-stud busbar, but the cable did not reach (the wiring cable length on the portable air compressor was already preset by ARB). We went to plan B, the spare stud on the 5-stud busbar as it was closer to the compressor. I pointed out both options to ORS before we started (thank you INEOS for giving us this option). The twin compressor has two 40-amp circuits, so the wire ends in the battery box was not an option. Although they are fine for a single ARB compressor.
Got back to my hotel last night and as I parked a few college students were checking out the Grenadier. When I got out one of them said “This is the first Grenadier I’ve seen in person!”. I was like you’re the first person that has known what it is! He and his friends checked it out a bit and asked questions. It was very nice not to have to explain the vehicle background.
