Prepping the rear cargo area so the Auto Electrician can install 3 in one power outlet where the lighter socket is located and noticed there are these 2 connectors with nothing connected.

Does anyone know what these 2 connectors are for ?????

Cheers,
Chook :-)

No. 2 plug does it terminate the twisted pair of wires? Twisted pairs of wires in a harness are generally for data transfer network like CAN BUS. The cap may contain a terminating resistor for that circuit.
Auto sparky will lead you in the right direction when they have a look.

Are you petrol or diesel? The only thing that springs to mind ( if petrol) is adblue sensoring

I "thought" there was a reference elsewhere that the connectors are for the inverter which was supposed to be standard equipment.... then wasn't ( like workshop manuals😂).

I think you’re right. I’ve seen elsewhere that they’re some type of control wires for the factory inverter.

There is a US thread on the inverter somewhere.

Number 1 is definitely the canbus controller for the optional factory inverter.
My 23MY doesn't have number 2 so can't help.

Ok I found another connector today when I was fuse tapping the cockpit for the WOLFBOX.......... This one is directy below the Cockpit Fuse panel........... What is intriguing is that there is a velcro holder in the same location as the connector which I think must be related to it. Does anyone know what this one is ?????????

If I'm not mistaken, I have a light for the footwell in this position.

There is indeed, as @rovie said, in some cars a light for the footwell. I described this in my post below:

But no velcro in my car.

I put an oscilloscope onto the number 1 connector. The waveform indicates strongly that this is a 19.2Kbaud serial style interface. Voltages are too high for CAN and the speed is to slow. But @landmannnn is likely correct, it is used to control the inverter. I am now hunting for a place to tap into the canbus.
