I thought I’d share my first impressions of the Grenadier. I recently bought a Trial Master and have a 1000+ miles on it now. We live in a part of Texas that is very remote (Big Bend area), very harsh, and very dusty. About 50% of our driving is on dirt / rock and have to say it feels incredibly solid. I get that some have had a few gremlins, but I haven’t experienced a single fault. The truck is very well built. I’ve owned many cars and trucks that have been in production for years with a lot more issues than those noted on this forum. Considering it’s only been in production for two years; I don’t think INEOS gets enough credit for their accomplishment. I couldn’t be more pleased. Well done INEOS!

I bet it is a Trialmaster though. Common typo

I have had mine since Jan 11, 2025........I had my first engine light yesterday.....I think I may have over filled it at costco. I used my OBD scanner and cleared the message with no issues. Love this vehicle....coming from a 2024 Landcruiser.

Got rid of my 2024 Landcruiser as well and will be picking up one of these in the near future.

I think a lot of us would be interested to hear from those of you who unloaded your LC’s so shortly after purchase (especially given the difficulty of getting one) - what was the decision process behind dumping them?
For me, the engine braking is stupid. The first time I had to decelerate quickly, I thought I had been rear ended. That is how rough of a transition there is. It never improved either. I could read it better and adjust my braking but seems very rough for what I was expecting. The tin can door closing sound. This isn't a RAV4. It shouldn't sound like one when closing the door. Too many nanny devices. Not enough personality. Toyota is also really struggling with multiple recalls and then the replacement of the hybrid battery. I drove an FJ Cruiser for the last 15 years and loved it. Sad that I traded it in on the LC. I would take it back but the latest one is now 11 years old. That is why I am looking at the Grenadier now. Much more solidly built car it seems. Obviously taking a chance on a new manufacturer but I really like what I see and I really like that a billionaire wanted to build this thing to his specs for a car he loved. I feel like it is worth the risk. My .02.

It’s a tank, if you’re looking for a solid chassis and serious capability, the Grenadier is a great choice. There will be bugs, but that’s true with all vehicles. At least they have an excuse, my other vehicles (Ram, Jeep, and Kia) have no excuse. I’ll extend some grace to INEOS considering how new to the game they are.

Hadn’t heard the engine braking point before - interesting. I’ve heard they plan to relaunch the FJ Cruiser???

I had a '14 FJ from new that I sold for the Grenadier. I wish I could have kept it. 😢 I know I'm gonna shed a tear when I see what they're worth a few years from now.

No regrets so far, other than the monthly payments. I'll be in your neck of the woods in a few weeks. Taking it to Big Bend for the 1st time. Wave if you see a green one!

It’s not difficult to get one… many of them also have discounts
