As the title suggests... any leads for a reputable rental agency would be appreciated. I tried to post to the Scottish group, but I have insufficient 'credentials.'

I've never rented internationally and am hoping for real-world referral(s), rather than generic Google links.

Thanks!

I’ve not heard of any for rental in Scotland. I also had a quick look on the internet and the only one I found was in Bath (England).
If I hear of anything I’ll let you know.

I’m not aware of any either. Scotland only has one dealer - Grange in Edinburgh. So Brian or Martin there would likely know if any of their customers rent them out. A long shot, but you could always ask about renting one of their demonstrators. They are only 10 mins from Edinburgh Airport.

Thanks for these responses!

It's not for another few months, so I'll keep checking in...

I was in Scotland last summer and rented a classic Defender 110 from them, at the time they were looking at adding a Grenadier to the fleet, not sure if they have but they provided a good experience: https://4x4hirescotland.co.uk/our-4x4-car-fleet.html
Fabulous

In candor, my 'classic' Defender 110 was sold because my wife and children never sat in it over 4 years of ownership... mind you, I've had literally dozens of Land Rover Series and Defenders, but after 32 years of marriage, my wife finally admitted that she just was never comfortable in them (safety-wise). While a 110 SW would be ideal to handle the 6 of us, I know the answer will be a "hard no."

Funny story: I drove her in a Mitsubishi Delica a couple of summers ago and she screamed the entire drive... that's because it was a "RHD" model in the US, so she was on the outside with no familiarity of a steering wheel in front of her. That memory solidifies my need for something "safe."

I do wish they still had LR4s on offer... that would be a nice ride.
