Hi there I have been a Grenadier owner since January this year, very happy with the vehicle, learning its idiosyncrasies and navigate through or around them.
I had a recent trip south to Brisbane, the Bruce Hwy is not the best and north bound truck kicked up a stone and damaged the windscreen, one of those things I guess, so always have windscreen cover.
I do have a question for you all, has anyone had issues with locking the vehicle and no response, then it locks by itself.
I have found if doors or bonnet not shut properly it will do this also.

I found this on the second day taking the Truck home. I wrote to the Director of Service whom I met around my purchase on a Sunday evening and he wrote back in a few minutes. I was told and yes it works. Unlock the doors and the hood release. Begin with the Drivers door, open it from the outside and give it a good close., move on to the hood/bonnet, rise it up and give it a good close. (thump) Move to the front passenger door, same, open and good close. Move to the rear passenger door, open and give it a good close, Next move to the gas filler door. Open the door and close the door. Next go to the rear and unlock the door, open the 2/3 door and a good close. then the 1/3 door do the same. give it a minute ro reset in the computer. Hit the lock, if it doesn't lock tap the unlock, give it a minute it should lock automatically if not. push the lock button and it should be good to go. I found after all this when the doors don't lock if I hit the open button, wait 10 sec, then hit lock everything locks. BMW is crazy with this security feature. I have not seen this before except BMW. Good luck.
