There’s the wireless CarPlay but does anyone know which USB port gives wired CarPlay access? I’ve installed Starlink and when using it it disconnects from the wireless CarPlay network.

Yes, in the manual they say the USB A and UBS C both transmit dataThat’s the arm rest?
have you managed to get that to work? When I turn WiFi and Bluetooth off it will not connectYes, in the manual they say the USB A and UBS C both transmit data
Hi @FlyingTexan have you positioned Starlink directly behind the windshield? How is the satellite reception? We are also about to buy one and have heard from others that the windshield weakens the signal somewhat. There’s the wireless CarPlay but does anyone know which USB port gives wired CarPlay access? It’s behind the right glass, right where the rubber parts are. I ended up having to rotate it long ways with the roof. Reception has been plenty fast for me. As a test run I just used it in areas with no cell service. Four people could stream movies at any time without issue.Hi @FlyingTexan have you positioned Starlink directly behind the windshield? I wrote them and they stated it “should” be able to but sent the support ticket further up the chain.I sorta remember reading that a some point in 2024 Ineos stopped supporting wired car play. That sucks when you want to connect your phone to starlink and then use the phone for a wired carplay connection. At least this is what I was told on my adventure through Southern Utah a few months ago.
Edit: This is from the owner's manual.
Connecting Apple CarPlay
After connecting your phone or tablet using Bluetooth, Apple CarPlaywill be displayed automatically. If the phone is being connected for the first time, follow the instructions on the Center Display and
Touchscreen and/or your Apple CarPlay device screen to finish thesetup. Apple CarPlay requires iOS 13 and above. Your CarPlay device must have Hotspot turned on for wireless Apple CarPlay to work.
The issue is that wireless carplay also needs a wifi connection. Frankly, It's fucking stupid that they ditched wired carplay.
Let me know how that goes.I wrote them and they stated it “should” be able to but sent the support ticket further up the chain.
Thank you for your feedback. We may have misunderstood each other. I thought you had it in the interior of the vehicle. I plan to place my Starlink directly above the dashboard behind the windshield and still hope to get enough power. It’s behind the right glass, right where the rubber parts are. Have you actually done this and had it work? I ordered some apple approved cables and still nothing. Forgot the device on Bluetooth and deleted all phones in the touch panel.Okay, delete your phone profile off the Grenadier and also the Grenadier off the phone. Turn off your phone and turn it back on. Now connect the cable to to phone and car. Make sure the cable you are using transmits data. That actually may be why it's not working. Before you change profiles, try a different cable, not a cheap on from the Quick mart.
That is how I have fixed the issue. But also use AA and not car play. And I have done it for our Yukon, defender and our MDXHave you actually done this and had it work? I ordered some apple approved cables and still nothing. Forgot the device on Bluetooth and deleted all phones in the touch panel.
Tried this today, It’s a firm ‘nope’ for wired Apple CarPlay leaving wifi free for StarLink connection.Have you actually done this and had it work? I ordered some apple approved cables and still nothing. Forgot the device on Bluetooth and deleted all phones in the touch panel.
Gotta ask, why not run onx off your Starlink wifi. Then run your Spotify off of your Bluetooth and bypass AA? What else are you using that is need on AA while I'm wilderness.I'm in the same boat with my Android Auto. The INEOS website states that AA is wired only. It's the opposite and now my Starlink is pretty much worthless. It makes no sense that a vehicle designed to be out in the wilderness won't allow you to use your Starlink for your phone signal. If you disconnect from AA to use the Starlink Wi-Fi, you will no longer have access to OnX and other features that can only be obtained through AA. I have a support request in asking for a workaround. I'll post it if I receive one.
The native screen is much larger then my phone screen. It's hard to see onX maps on the phone.Gotta ask, why not run onx off your Starlink wifi. Then run your Spotify off of your Bluetooth and bypass AA? What else are you using that is need on AA while I'm wilderness.
