There’s the wireless CarPlay but does anyone know which USB port gives wired CarPlay access? I’ve installed Starlink and when using it it disconnects from the wireless CarPlay network.

The USB-C in the cubby box.

Okay, delete your phone profile off the Grenadier and also the Grenadier off the phone. Turn off your phone and turn it back on. Now connect the cable to to phone and car. Make sure the cable you are using transmits data. That actually may be why it's not working. Before you change profiles, try a different cable, not a cheap on from the Quick mart.

Hi @FlyingTexan have you positioned Starlink directly behind the windshield? How is the satellite reception? We are also about to buy one and have heard from others that the windshield weakens the signal somewhat.

I sorta remember reading that a some point in 2024 Ineos stopped supporting wired car play. That sucks when you want to connect your phone to starlink and then use the phone for a wired carplay connection. At least this is what I was told on my adventure through Southern Utah a few months ago.

Edit: This is from the owner's manual.

Connecting Apple CarPlay
After connecting your phone or tablet using Bluetooth, Apple CarPlaywill be displayed automatically. If the phone is being connected for the first time, follow the instructions on the Center Display and
Touchscreen and/or your Apple CarPlay device screen to finish thesetup. Apple CarPlay requires iOS 13 and above. Your CarPlay device must have Hotspot turned on for wireless Apple CarPlay to work.

The issue is that wireless carplay also needs a wifi connection. Frankly, It's fucking stupid that they ditched wired carplay.

It’s behind the right glass, right where the rubber parts are. I ended up having to rotate it long ways with the roof. Reception has been plenty fast for me. As a test run I just used it in areas with no cell service. Four people could stream movies at any time without issue.

I wrote them and they stated it “should” be able to but sent the support ticket further up the chain.

Thank you for your feedback. We may have misunderstood each other. I thought you had it in the interior of the vehicle. I plan to place my Starlink directly above the dashboard behind the windshield and still hope to get enough power.
