I just received word from Rival that they have opened their pre-order books for Aluminum skid plate protection for the transfer case and engine:

Transfer Case ($299)

Engine ($349)

For what you get, and compared to the competition, I believe these prices to be fair. I've tossed my hat in for a pre-order of both. They are currently expected to ship 6/1/24. Free shipping by the way, which is huge for a product like this.

Someone with some good screen grab software - please post the pics.

Also, Rival has notified me they are in the process of designing a gas tank skid plate as well as lower control arm guards.

I assume based on eye balling it off of one sip of Diet Coke this morning that the engine plate will protect the plastic transmission oil bit, yes?

How can you afford not to order this?

Will try this too.
Almont and SPP Overland has some too but a tad higher, costwise.

That looks worth every penny with the relief for the bolt head. From my experience I would still replace the hardware with appropriate grade 8 hex button cap heads.

I just put my info in for notification when they are available!

Hopefully the images provided are only rough images. The final product hopefully has recessed heads on the bolts or there will be challenges with removal if they are ever bashed on rocks. This has long been an issue amongst the Jeep crowd and why most of the higher priced skid plates now have recessed bolts. It also appears that folks will need to be removed if you do a "traditional" oil change.
