UK warranty / roadside assistance

UK warranty is very good but does anyone have information as to 'roadside assistance' cover in the
event ( hopefully unlikely ) of a breakdown / failure to proceed ? Maybe AA or RAC or A.N Other ?
Picked mine up this week . Agent said cover was from AA including homestart.
Nothing in the handover pack or guide indicating how or who to call. Odd.

This is really not a professional way. At least the dealer should give you some valid information how it works or will work.
But maybe it’s a sophisticated service that calls you when you are in trouble…

Mine did - this was included in the pack handed over and was explained at the time. Poor show if other agents are not doing the same. However, this seems to have been very much their initiative, with nothing really coming direct from Ineos:

My only concern is "roadside assistance" seems to be the very lowest level of cover, does not cover you at home and has a number of other major limitations. It's not the level of service I'd ever select for myself and certainly not the level of service I'd expect with a brand new vehicle at this price point.

I just got the uk number in a text. That was all the dealers had so at least things have moved on a bit. Will put this all in phone, well done☺️

G'day all. Being UK based I was given o330 053 0885 to call for roadside assistance. If you call the number the automated voice informs you the service is provided by the AA.
I've asked Ineos whether there is overseas/European coverage and I have yet to hear back from them.
Anyone know the answer? I had assumed the car would come with it yet there are no details available so far.

This is exactly what my dealer gave me too.

Hmmm given the shitfight you guys are experiencing with Ineos cover, I think I’ll also be keeping my Ultracare with RACQ (AA equivalent) as well. 40+ years membership and they’ve always provided good service.

Same dealer ~ Chandlers?
No mine is Sandicliffe in Nottingham - he said that they had not had any official documentation one the recovery arrangements from Ineos so had made up the A4 piece of paper as shown above. Possibly all UK dealers shared this document?

I've just had to use the AA for home recovery, following a loss of power on the motorway and a cautious drive home. The service from the AA and my dealer has so far surpassed expectations with the car recovered and taken to the dealer in an enclosed transporter with a very prompt service from the AA on a Bank Holiday Monday. The AA recovery included home recovery and a courtesy car for up to 3 days

What have they given you?
I didn't take the AA up on the courtesy car offer as we have other vehicles I can use, but I can give them a call and check what vehicle type this would be .... hopefully not a budget economy class but looking at the service I received I would imagine it should be respectable

Just spoken to the AA. The cover with Ineos expires on 1/10/25, it includes:-
Home Start
Roadside Assist
National Recovery
Relay Plus

AA are not allowed to send out the details it has to be supplied by the manufacturer.

Beware if you have changed registration, their system had a problem cross referencing the original registration to the new.

Miles - I realise that it was a while back but can you remember what was the cause of your loss of power?

I had the same problem and the car has been at the dealer for the last six weeks or so and I dont know what is wrong with it. The response I have had is "we have traced the defect” and are “hoping to get this rectified ASAP for you as part of a recall released by INEOS”. They wont actually say what the problem is. Like you I had great service from Ineos AA assist and have had a loan grenadier from the dealer for the duration so I don't have much to complain about.

Hi sorry for the delay. My dealer said that even with a tech support from Ineos visiting them and running diagnostics on the car they couldn't even find the error code/message that was displayed which I thought was very odd. They then suggested it may have been contaminated fuel and swapped out the fuel filer (diesel). We were just on our return leg having completed the North Coast 500 having done around 1,000 miles but we haven't had any issues since and I have just covered 14,000 miles in 10 months

Thanks for the response Mike - Hope you enjoyed the North Coast 500. Last time I drove the north coast of Scotland was with an old girlfriend in her Triumph Spitfire - about 40 years ago when we were students in Scotland - a Grenadier would have been more comfortable - but Oh to be 18 again.

Hopefully my Grenadier issues are sorted now - they are putting by stoppage it down to a poor earth due to corrosion resulting from chafe on the earth strap on the transfer box - not sure that was the cause but the car seems to be working fine and hopefully that is an end to my various electrical issues over the last year. Whilst it was there they also carried out two recall issues - front and rear control arm torque and "body wiring harness repair recall RHD only" - not sure what these were however.
