Two sets of rock sliders, and still not on.

My order specified rock sliders. Picked up my Quartermaster without them, along with bull bar and floor mats. 3 weeks later got a call that the items were in stock, and bring it in for install of the items. They had it for the whole day, and when I went to pick it up, no rock sliders. Upon questioning, the wrong ones were ordered (wagon not extended for the Quartermaster). New set ordered. Got a call last week, they were in. Told them I would come in and pick them up instead of wasting a full day getting them fitted. On the way home, a phone call from the dealership workshop. Check the numbers on the box, as they think 2x RHS ones were ordered. Sure enough 2x RHS rock sliders. LHS one ordered. Told them that they can come to my place and pick up the second RHS one, and drop off the left one.
Frustrated as every part should be linked to my vin number for the specs of my car. Hope they get it sorted soon.

Not sure that Ineos rock sliders would be my first choice anymore. So much competition out there.

Came down to price. Never intended to leave them as standard. I have a plan.
Monday the Left slider was delivered to my house, and the extra right hand one was picked up. I installed them today. I have a car hoist, so was easy to just lift the sliders into place on the arms of the hoist. Most difficult part was placing the spacers in place whilst getting the bolts in. Fiddled around too much whilst installing the right side. Had a brain flash and used Superglue to tack the spacers in place for the left side. Was simple and quick to do. Will do this to all difficult to access spacers and washers in the future. Had a mock up of my step modification. Just temporarily clamped the bar onto the slider to support an old side step from a Discovery 1. Will move in about 30mm from where the picture shows, but I think I will be happy with the result. Will post photo's when I do this mod.
